Earlier this week Charity Hufnagel was struck by a vehicle while riding her e-bike - FloTrack has confirmed with Hufnagel's Agent, Karen Locke.
Charity was assisting her husband with water bottle distribution during his long run. She rode an E-bike. Her husband, Noah, decided to go off-road and no longer needed her help. Hufnagel went off on her own and an automobile driven by a person just behind her collided with Hufnagel.
Charity suffered a skull fracture, bruising on the right side of her brain, and a small bruise underneath the brain. She will not need surgery to repair the skull fracture. She also suffered a small laceration to her ear.
Locke has spoken with Hufnagel each day to document her medication and assess her rehabilitation needs.
