Kiddy Coleman comes to Essendon specifically identifying our strong indigenous heritage as a factor.
Days later, Nik Cox is delisted. Which number did he wear?
13. The number made famous by indigenous icon Michael Long.
Coleman taking over 13 makes all the sense in the world
Melbourne needed the GF in another state to win it.
When footy returned to the MCG, how'd that work out?
Oh hang on...

I’m sure you will beat us at the g where it matters and finals are played, oh hang on…
Just a little guy who's been desperately trying to strike up a conversation with this account for over 12 months now

I'll never get sick of @CalTwomey's nicknames for prospective draftees every year
Remember when the AFL made every team give up players to prop up the fledging Brisbane Bears?
We gave them Roger Merrett, who went on to be one of the best Bears ever.
It's only fair that they hand us Ashcroft x2, Morris, Dunkley & Lohmann as reparations.
Then we're even 🙂↕️
The Saints are all in & I absolutely love their audacity.
Appreciate teams that defy convention in order to find a different way to win.
Sainters swinging for the fences
Jake Stringer is poised to join St Kilda with an announcement to come as early as tomorrow.
The Saints will be Jake’s fourth club, but after kicking 48 goals this year and with the Saints crying out for firepower, he’s set to move to Moorabbin.
Saints GM of footy Lenny Hayes said three days ago there had been no discussions about Stringer, but clearly things have moved quickly. @1116sen
It's extremely unfair for Kingy to pot Andy McGrath for not finishing inside the B&F top 10 as captain.
Prior to 2026, McGrath had 3-straight 4th placed seasons alongside a 5th & 6th finishes in previous years. This season was an aberration.
The pressure was immense, but what did you expect?
It can be argued that 12 months ago he was thrust into the impossible task following a disastrous trade period due to his predecessor going scorched earth.
Cut him some slack
How quickly do you reckon norf fans will be going back & deleting their old tweets shitting on Tsatas?
If they pick him up after doing a pre-season there, within 2 hours there'll be a wasteland of "this content is unavailable"
Essendon has already said it won't, but will instead bid on Dougie Cochrane at pick 1.
Talk about milking the Dons to bid on Walker at 1 cow completely dry!
Don't let anyone say 'this is all about money" because it really isn't.
Kiddy will play an active role in the indigenous community - specially designed to help the club re-engage with its rich indigenous legacy.
It's been a damn longway coming
"A lot of happiness, a lot of joy."
The new Bomber is thrilled to be an Essendon player.

What's the worst loss you've seen live?
For me: Round 3, 2007 against Carlton.
We had control of the entire match (leading by 48 points) until Fev, who was goaless for Q1, broke loose, kicked 8 & buried us.
I drove 3.5 hours alone & went to the game solo. Then stayed another night to see a few bands but was so bummed out i didn't even crowd surf.
That's when you know something is off with me...
Jesus this is embarrassing.
Brisbane likely wouldn't exist without Essendon. We gave them superstars including the best ever Bear, Roger Merrett.
Rather than you vitriol, you should be thanking Kevin Sheedy. He was good enough to help them succeed when he really didn't have to

You can almost make entire team almost of people that have left Essendon and won a GF since they last won a final
3 from this lions 3peat alone btw
I'm not sure if this is the genuine @elijah_hollands, but his Twitter banter is magical
It seems like a small detail, but flying Kiddy's family down to his meeting is a classy move.
I love that we're finally regaining an identity in the best way possible.
Spike has been spoken about so glowingly from players he coached.
This feels like a prime example why
The good graces a threepeat gives you is almost bulletproof, but in a 12 month stretch Brisbane lost Kiddy Coleman, Sam Marshall, Will McLachlan, Neale & Starcevich.
That'd raise 100 red flags at other clubs, but Brisbane's in the rare position to say "so what?" & mean it
Ask Mr Davey & ye shall receive!
