Shockey was a beast
In Jeremy Shockey's hometown of Ada, Oklahoma, a back alley brawl would stay in that alley; Dust yourself off and go on with your day.
In New York, the same back alley brawl might as well have been a PPV prize fight. No matter how many people were present for the event, everyone would know the details by tomorrow morning.
The attitude he brought from home didn't only make him stand out off the field. He was even more reckless on it. Something about these players from earlier eras, stats can't illustrate the way they played. Some say Shockey was Gronk before Gronk. He snagged on safeties and ran over linebackers. His hair hung out of his helmet like Billy the Kid. And he wore tats all over before it was accepted.
Due to his look, dude always stood out. Due to his play, you had to take him seriously. Due to the way he talked in interviews, u either loved him or hated him, and everybody picked a side.

Met him at Giants training camp. Wasn’t a fan of the team but I was in the area at that time of year so I’d often drop by.
Shockey, Justin Tuck and Sinorice Moss were stand-up guys. Antonio Pierce…well I couldn’t really tell because he was being shepherded around by Rosenhaus.

New @FlemLoRaps just dropped y’all.
A lot of guys rush the passer cuz they have the physical tools; they punch a clock, chase some guys around, and then they clock out.
But other guys punched the clock on the day they were born, and they won't clock out until the day they die.
Jared Allen was one of a kind.
He was always laughing, fighting, sacking the quarterback, or chasing Dan Orlowski out the back of the end zone.

This Andre Johnson appreciation post really put a smile on my face. Bro could’ve demanded a trade, been a cancer… he went out and played elite football. Deserves his gold jacket.
What happened to Andre Johnson?
Andre Johnson is number 11 all-time when it comes to career receiving yards. But there’s something that separates him from every other player in the top 10.
Unlike every other player that’s on this list, Dre’s the only one who never played with a single QB who made the Hall of Fame, won an MVP, or at least got a single first-team All-Pro.
It’s hard to be an elite wide receiver without an elite QB or an elite scheme. Some guys are asked to go out there with neither.
And while they might do well for a while. Almost none will ever feel the warmth of a Hall of Fame jacket. Almost none...

I keep trying to remind y'all Andre Johnson was one of the best WRs to ever play this game I got him ahead of Megatron and Antonio Brown
