Bitcoin’s execution layer.
Increasingly convinced that there will likely be one main execution layer for Bitcoin. Game theory of staking dynamics, combined with liquidity concentration, points to this.
Staking dynamics: Ethereum has one major source of low-risk yield: the consensus yield. Even though you could earn higher-risk, higher-return yield elsewhere, most capital goes to the lowest-risk option: the effective ETH fed rate. Multiple on-chain Bitcoin yield options would converge on the lowest-risk yield that is meaningful enough. Offering higher yield with added risk can’t lure that capital away. The Bitcoin layer that can offer the effective BTC fed rate yield at scale is the one with the largest market cap and economy size.
Liquidity concentration: We saw this with Solana vs. Ethereum L2s. A single execution chain offers better UX, and everyone benefits from concentrated liquidity rather than fragmented liquidity and assets spread across multiple L2s (the various Ethereum ones).
We can try to put a valuation framework for what Bitcoin’s execution layer should be worth (an exercise for another post). Right now, I’m just making the point that the probability of getting N different execution layers is very low (unstable equilibrium and bad UX for users). Either one major execution layer exists where, say, 10-30% of BTC supply is actively deployed, or Bitcoin remains a passive asset.
I’m an optimist by nature; I believe that we’ll get one major Bitcoin execution layer.

A little update from behind the scenes.
I’ve recently brought someone on board to help grow our social presence, reach new audiences, and bring more eyes to @GutterCatGang
I’m also currently traveling, meeting people, and exploring new opportunities. I have a collaboration contract in my hands that I’ll begin reviewing this week, with another collaboration draft already in the works. More details as things become concrete.
I’ve also reached out to several people in the Web3 space. Some have brushed me off, some haven’t responded, and others haven’t shown much interest. And that’s fine! I’m not here to beg anyone to work with us. I’ll keep knocking on doors, building relationships, and creating opportunities. If one door closes, we find another. That’s how we move!
The mission remains the same: build Gutter beyond Web3, create real utility, and find new ways to bring value to our holders just by holding their Gutter assets.
And as you’ve seen lately, the merch, products, and drops keep coming! Plenty more on the way.
I know the market isn’t where we all want it to be. I’m not blind to it. But I’m working harder today than I was a few months ago, investing more time, energy, and resources into building something bigger.
Not everything happens overnight, and there’s a lot I can’t share just yet. But trust me, there’s plenty happening behind closed doors, and you’ll continue seeing things roll out.
I’m not here to promise miracles. I’m here to keep building, keep pushing, and give this gang something to be proud of.

Crypto runs on narratives, and there’s still no stronger narrative than Bitcoin.
Bitcoin and @Stacks was my first love, then spent the last few years getting exposure to other ecosystems like @Solana. More recently, I’ve also been in close touch with teams across @Cardano and @Ripple.
After seeing how different ecosystems operate up close, I still believe @Stacks has one of the most promising narratives in crypto.
The opportunity is turning that Bitcoin narrative into real execution, products, users, and capital is "REAL".
After also working closely with @renapshah through the Stacks Endowment board committee, she’s genuinely S-tier++ when it comes to execution. Probably one of the best operators I’ve seen aside from @vibhu of @solana

Strong Q3 progress for STX.
As the incoming CEO of Stacks Labs, I’ll start sharing frequent updates and hosting quarterly update calls.
Quick summary typed here as we release a detailed Q3 blog later (speed matters).
- There has been a 72.15% increase in BTC yield over the last 4 cycles. This is a result of SIP-45 activation that attracted more miners, increased mining efficiency, and strengthened STX/BTC ratio.
- Locked STX increased from 392M (at the time of the Satoshi One upgrade) to 448M over 4 cycles. The 20M jump right before Bitcoin Bond 1 went live was especially interesting as it shows the economic loop working.
- Anchorage announced support for Bitcoin Bonds, along with Fireblocks and Fordefi. Distribution to institutional clients through custody providers they already use is key.
- Bond 1 sold out for capacity, with large institutions like 21Shares, UTXO Management, HashKey, etc. participating.
- New signers like Ankr, The Tie, and HashKey Cloud came online — institutional infra providers for institutional-grade Bitcoin capital markets.
- Satoshi One upgrade was successfully live. With 99.98% uptime. One small network delay as signers upgraded, but the best-executed network upgrade yet.
The economic loop in (1) and (2) is especially interesting. BTC yield is increasing while bitcoin staking capacity demand (STX needed) is going up as well. As more BTC gets deployed in upcoming bonds, things could get really interesting.
A lot more happened in Q3, but these were some highlights for me. We’ll release a detailed Q3 update blog soon.
My focus is on capital flows, growth, and execution speed. Forward!

A few days ago my beautiful daughter Harper was born 🩷 already the best thing that has ever happened to me.
As you probably can tell (or relate); my headspace and energy needed to go to her and my girlfriend; who did (more than) amazing delivering the most precious thing I have ✨
Please understand this might occur more than I wish it does. The babygirl is healthy, but was smaller and lighter than general, so needs more check-ups and attention to get to a good level👶🏼

But seriously, seeing $STX top the 24h gainers on @CoinMarketCap is actually amazing, and @muneeb coming in as Stacks Labs CEO is a big win too!
Not only for price action (which is great BTW), but for the direction he’s taking the company.
For context, Muneeb founded and led Stacks’ early growth and its SEC-qualified STX offering, and has also been working directly with institutional partners like @21shares, @UTXOmgmt, @HashKeyCloud, etc on Bitcoin staking.
Their dedication to Bitcoin capital markets, privacy, and post-quantum BTC is going to be super important because making Bitcoin useful also means giving people the privacy and security they need to use it.
Great to have such a legend back in the game.
