39 years ago today, the Grateful Dead played Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA for the first time. It was the first of 39 shows there between 1987 and 1995.
Here's Jerry's solo from the first set Stagger Lee. Props to the cameraman for staying zoomed in on his hands as he switches from fingerpicking to a pick and back again.

Having to pay $3,000 out of pocket for my daughter’s braces while having what the dentist called “really good dental insurance” is exactly why I’ll continue to say this
Dental and vision not being included in health insurance is a scam that doesn’t get talked about nearly enough

Starting Saturday with West Ham-Milwall and ending it with LSU-Ole Miss is going to make for an all-time day
Around 400 Met Police officers - around four times the usual number - will be deployed for Millwall vs WHUFC on Saturday.
Live facial recognition will also be used, while a Section 35 dispersal order covering almost five miles across SE London will be in place.

Enzo Fernández looked like this and they really thought he wasn’t interfering with play

What’s the point of VAR? It’s just such a waste of time. Football does not need it. It’s a failure.

A linesman correctly spot an offside, and makes a decision. The multi-million dollar technology, design to help improve decision spent close to 5 mins to reverse the correct decision.
The next message is “Sorry, we erred”.
It’s not a mistake. It’s a deliberate action.
Terrible call!!!!
Final thing on the offside goal
I’m not buying PGMOL’s claim that Matt Donahue VAR simply failed to recognise that Enzo attempted to play the ball
He spent a good minute rocking back and forth to see if Enzo got his head to the ball, he physically couldn’t have missed that Enzo attempted to play the ball
The reality in my opinion, is that he completely forgot the laws of the game relating to interfering from an offside position. He looked only at whether Enzo touched the ball, because he thought that was the only rule he needed to look at.
And THAT, raises enormous questions over the standards of Premier League officials

BREAKING: During his speech today, Donald Trump recounted helping save Titanic victims: “I saved more people than anybody, many people, the best people. I said, ‘Turn left, Captain. Very simple. Very easy.’ He didn’t listen. I know icebergs. Nobody knows icebergs better than me.”

Manchester United vs Sabah is more historic than people realise. Thursday will be United’s 300th European Cup/Champions League match the first English club ever to reach that number.
And the opponent Sabah FC, a club founded just nine years ago, now playing at Old Trafford in their first-ever Champions League campaign.
From United’s first European Cup game against Anderlecht in 1956 to 300 European Cup matches later, the journey has gone through Busby, Munich, the 1968 triumph, Ferguson’s three finals, the 1999 comeback and the 2008 victory. Sabah are writing their first chapter. United are adding another page to 70 years of European history.
