So the Big XII is fully legitimized as an amazing conference now, right? We all know that the opposite narrative would have been pushed nonstop if Notre Dame had won, so it seems only fair to claim this as undeniable proof of the league's greatness.

Excited to see if "#1" UT can make the playoff once they expand it to 24 teams.

1) the committee's job is to evaluate teams, not conferences. 2) without substantially larger OOC sample sizes, any data model trying to evaluate conference strength is subject to circular logic and a high degree of potential error. Anything the committee might use to say that TeamB1 is better than Team A1 because Team B2 beat team A2 is a fool's errand
NEW: The College Football Playoff committee will now consider a strength-of-conference metric in its selection process, @CFBHeather reports. The new metric will help determine the strength of each conference based on the schedule strength of each team in its league. on3.com/news/report-college-…

Not an empty seat in this place. Pretty impressive for 90 degrees on a Friday night with an alumni base that by and large has to drive in.

Of all the Yormark failures, allowing ESPN/Fox to put the TTU/UH game on Friday may take the cake. It would have easily been the best game of the 2:30 or 11am Saturday time slots, but instead one of the showcase opportunities for the Big XII gets relegated. Great work. 🫩

Hilariously, this win over Oregon St. will look more impressive on the box score than it was after an off-season of listening to UT/OU/A&M fans whose teams were no longer playing pretend that the Oregon game was some huge blowout.

This seems like a good time to remind everyone that Michigan cancelled a volleyball game against TTU to posture about their supposed football integrity.

Sports are fun, but they’re also a beautiful tool to teach young people valuable life lessons. Like “Work hard”, “Support your teammates”, and “Sometimes life is rigged in favor of those with more resources.”

We're consistently beating the left tackle, he's consistently, blatantly holding, and it's yet to be called.

Hammond to Hudson is even more beautiful than I imagined.

It's slightly balmy in LA tonight, and the opponent isn't notable enough, and there's traffic, and there's so much to do. There are actually 51,000+ die-hard fans here. You're just a stupid redneck who lives in a place with nothing to do.

I watched all of "The Program." It's quality. It's filmed really well. It's fair. I'm glad it provides some human, behind-the-scenes context for the offseason, good and bad. A few things stood out (a thread):

5) Haters are going to love criticizing the Campbell quote about Sorsby and"handling it the right way" and "throwing up 40." I'm not sure I fully agree with Cody there, either, and honestly, I'd rather not have had him use that moment to chirp.

Ultimately, the show offers some solid insight into TTU, warts and all. It's good TV that isn't just some "Untold: Swamp Kings" type of puff piece. It won't win over those who jumped at the chance to trash us this offseason, but nothing would. It's a good watch and I'm hyped.
