The £790 rate only applies to cars registered on or after 23rd March 2006 that emit over 255g/km CO2. Before the change on 1st April 2026 they were already paying £735.
No cars registered before this date are affected.

When Dr Billy Ralph heard that the government were offering the “Covid vaccines” to under 12 year olds, he tweeted this message.
