High school athletes: these ARE the good old days.
The team dinners.
The early mornings.
The bus rides.
The big wins.
The tough losses.
One day, you’ll wish you could get one of these days back. Don’t wait until it’s over to appreciate it.
Soak it in now.

Recruits: Your HS coach and future College coach definitely have favorites.
Their favorites are guys that show up on time, stay out of trouble, get good grades, work hard, are good teammates, know their playbook, do their job, & make the plays they are supposed to.

With college averaging up to $50K+ a year, no wonder athletic scholarships feel like everything.
But only 2% of students earn them.
That’s why high school sports must be about developing as a PERSON, not just as an athlete.

High school basketball doesn’t require a fancy game plan or an all-star lineup.
It takes toughness on defense.
Unselfishness on offense.
And a group of players who are willing to outwork anyone in their way.

Player of the Game: Jaylen Washington scored a game-high 18 points in Rancocas Valley’s 50-48 win over Delsea. The senior hit the go-ahead shot with 0:52 left. Tough shot maker that can get into the lane with elusiveness and spin moves. Four 3-pointers made. @SJSportsZone 🏀
