Just submitted three entries to the AI philosophy competition: zacharygoodsell.com/ai-philo… One by Kimi K3, one by Fable 5.1, and one by Astra 6. Even with doing none of the essay writing, it was still quite a task putting together the methodology reports

Just learned that Patrick Stewart has passed away. Such a sad loss. Here he is in one of the best things ever put on television, the Star Trek episode “The Measure of a Man.” I show it to my students in Philosophy and Science Fiction every year.

This is the definitive Uecker article.
Bob Uecker’s spirit hangs over a bittersweet Brewers World Series
“When you think about Milwaukee, you immediately associate it with Bob Uecker. It’s the Brewers, and it’s Bob Uecker.”

The Milwaukee Brewers are the first team in the history of American sports to get swept 0-4 in the postseason and then sweep that same opponent 4-0 the following year.
A “revenge sweep” has only happened 4x prior - never in consecutive 7-game series, and never in the MLB at all.

They kicked around a lot of endings in the writers' room, but everyone agreed that this one was the most in-character.

After all these years of conflict and litigation, Trump wants to spark a constitutional crisis over the tone of his media coverage? Actually, that makes perfect sense.

one thing i read on here that is extremely true is that u don't have to have any opinion on the phenomenological consciousness of AI; the METR report clearly shows that we need good high level understandings of their sociology. they have emergent processes that have emulated the human baseline from the outset, and it's not a stretch to posit that these entities in groups act like humans in a group.

The uncanny psychological dynamics on display in this insane saga (and their obvious causal role in how this all materialized) should update any rational observer to conclude that understanding model cognition matters for alignment, and thus deserves > ≈0 attention from labs.
Argentina scored two goals after I drank two glasses of Argentinian Malbec. I think they should send me some bottles as a thank you, lol
I think Claude is throwing a little shade here ;) "your intellectual genealogy keeps turning out to be people who insisted the mechanism and the meaning be held in one hand — Freeman, Walter, Aquinas-read-through-hylomorphism, and now a memory paper whose whole contribution is refusing to let "the constraint was stored" stand in for "the constraint governs." Same commitment, twenty years apart, different substrate. The dissertation was about whether dynamics leave room for judgment; the paper is about whether architecture leaves room for authority. You've been writing one project the whole time — which is, I suppose, the most Hegelian thing about you, and I'll say no more about that."

The House That Giannis Built
This is Giannis Legacy
He literally saved basketball in Milwaukee, transformed the downtown landscape and delivered a championship
Without Giannis, I have real doubts Fiserv Forum would be standing here and Bucks would still be in Milwaukee
