New paper out today from @Katrina_Holly98 and Prabhakara Rao Tharra on their work on development of bacterial carbonic anhydrase inhibitors against vancomycin-resistant Enterococci. They produced an analog with oral efficacy rescuing mice in a septicemic peritonitis model.

This project in collab with Dr. Val Watts and @Purdue_MCMP grad student @tiffany_summerr has gone from hit identification to through two manuscripts. The current scaffold had solubility liabilities and we took an approach to break up the molecular planarity to improve solubility
Used this pen during O-chem in college. The prof would switch between dry erase marker colors and you would hear the whole class click the pens to switch colors 馃槀
