Imagine if in 1943 FDR had decided that the US would stop helping Britain and instead would side with the Third Reich. That's a bit like what President Trump is now doing by cozying up to Russia as it tries to destroy Ukraine. Utterly shameful. A humiliating moment for the US.

A brief review of recent technical “errors” at Meta: 1. Restricting the Facebook pages of Brazilian president Lula who is in a runoff election against a Trump-favored candidate 2. Shutting down the pages of Albanians protesting Jared Kushner’s plans to build a luxury resort in the country 3. Rejecting ads for a documentary critical of Elon Musk 4. Shutting down the No Kings instagram page in the middle of a major anti-Trump protest

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Me’s saw this an as the’s Official Ambassador for Las Vegas K9 Crew Rescue. Me’s approves this (long, it’s very long) message 💚 If yous please read & share dear frens 😊🐶🐾 #mesdidntwritethis #mescopiedanpasted #dogsofx #dogsoftwitter #adogslife #doggo #pets @CartersBandanas @LVK9CrewRescue Help Them Get Back on the Road to Rescue! One unexpected tragedy has left the rescue facing an enormous challenge. But the dogs who need us can't wait. Las Vegas K-9 Crew Rescue recently experienced a devastating setback following a serious motor vehicle accident that resulted in the total loss of the van they relied on for nearly every aspect of their rescue operations. Although personally owned by the founder, approximately 90% of the van's use was dedicated to helping dogs in need. It was so much more than transportation. It was an essential part of how they saved lives. From search and rescue missions to veterinary appointments, transporting dogs to foster homes, meet-and-greets, adoption events, and forever homes, our van was constantly on the move. It also carried food, crates, medical supplies, donations, and the countless other items needed to keep a busy rescue running. Losing this vehicle has created a tremendous challenge for the small, volunteer-driven rescue. But the mission hasn't stopped. There are still dogs waiting to be saved, fosters depending on supplies, veterinary appointments to attend, and families waiting to welcome their new best friends. And they are determined to keep going. Three Ways You Can Help Help Replace Their Rescue Transportation We've created a personal GoFundMe to help replace the founder's vehicle that served as the primary transportation for our rescue activities. GoFundMe: gofund.me/8f94429e8 Help Replace Lost Supplies We've created an Amazon Wish List of rescue equipment and supplies that need to be replaced. Purchasing an item directly is another wonderful way to help us rebuild. Amazon Wish List: amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/XI… Support The Rescue Mission If you'd prefer to donate directly to Las Vegas K-9 Crew Rescue, your contribution will help us continue providing care, veterinary services, and second chances to dogs in need. Nonprofit Donations: zeffy.com/en-US/donation-for… They May Have Lost The Van And Many Supplies, But They Haven't Lost Our Purpose. They've worked tirelessly to build a rescue that answers the call when dogs need help. Now we're hoping their supporters and community will help them overcome this setback. Every donation, every item purchased, and every share makes a difference. Because somewhere out there, another dog is waiting for someone to save them. And they want to be there when that call comes. Thank you for helping them be able to continue saving precious lives!

FINAL: Brewers 6, Dodgers 4 The Milwaukee Brewers are going to the World Series after sweeping the two-time defending champion Dodgers. The Brewers came back from down 4-0 to advance to their first World Series since 1982 and exact revenge on the Dodgers’ NLCS sweep last year.
