Facts, I usually rotate Killers just to keep my mind fresh from game to game, but last night was the first time I played Pyramid Head for the entire session in a long time because he didn’t feel so terrible to play
These were amazing changes
So, some of you might not know or remember but I actually used to main Pyramid Head.
These buffs are completely game changing, I have some concerns with the travel speed of PoTD being a little too fast but I think the biggest issue is with the addons right now.
Should BHVR keep the attack wave propagation speed at 0.001s per element, black strap needs to be nerfed or have a harsher penalty to it. Black strap makes it impossible to dodge the attack whereas you at least have a tiny chance of barely avoiding the power from afar otherwise. Pair that with the iri range addon and you have a power that cannot be dodged and is more oppressive in 3 gens than Judgement.
Every other buff is perfect, it feels incredible to play with to the point where I actually wanted to keep playing Pyramid Head again for 2 hours without even realizing it. This is far more than what I ever thought they’d do with this killer.
Overall though, I think they need to tone down the attack propagation speed to be 0.005-0.01s per element to be a little more reasonable to react to from afar and the range penalty to black strap should be increased from 25% to 35%. Other addons may need to be changed too, this would be a great chance to give both Lead Ring and Wax Doll a small buff.
Maybe Lead Ring could feature a slightly smaller penalty from a 25% width reduction to 15-20% while Wax Doll could be bumped up from 5% to 8-10%.
If I see more changes like what we have here, I’ll have a lot less room to be as critical than I’ve been.
Jokes aside, why is the general consensus that you HAVE to only play the new stuff on PTBs?
Why does the community condemn you for testing stuff or wanting to practice stuff on a build that doesn’t consume your add-ons, offerings or affect your overall stats and MMR?
The Twins rework PTB was so awful that I didn’t want to wait 40 minutes to redownload the main build nor win matches in 2 minutes as Twins so I practiced Hillbilly the whole time with the other changes and was chastised for it
PTBs are for people to test things, not just play the new content. It’s also how we find new bugs and problems so they hopefully don’t make it live
