They say a job gives people dignity and self-respect. That’s possible. I can see that.
I didn’t see it when I worked in corporate, where grown-ass adult coworkers got reprimanded like kids, begged for permission to take time off, or clapped like seals at town hall meetings, kissing ass, all just to avoid losing their jobs.
Dignity and self-respect in full display lol

This is actually a great example of ML/DL. The data used to fill in the blanks is just statistically probable, but not accurate or true I'm any objective way. An LLM works the same way in regards of giving a plausible but not necceasarily a correct answer.

MAGA has a problem. A big problem.
This isn't just "Tommy," a random Republican, you see. This is Thomas Teepell, son of Gov. Jindal's chief of staff and former ops director for Sen. Josh Hawley.
He's a PROFESSIONAL Republican.
And he made a campaign ad for El-Sayed.
El-Sayed is a progressive. He likes big government solutions. He wants the government to do more things and have more power. He thinks this is the best way for government to help people. He's wrong, of course.
Republicans could easily challenge him on his policy ideas. But they can't. You see, Donald Trump and the postliberal MAGA movement that has attached itself to him also like big government solutions. They also want the government to do more things and have more power. They also think this is the best way for government to help people. They're wrong, of course.
They only disagree on the details.
And so Tom Teepull, a professional Republican, sets up El-Sayed with an absolute softball question like a complete amateur. He makes himself look foolish. He creates a viral moment for a Democrat. He's starring in their campaign ads and he didn't even get paid.
This is all that Republicans have left: Culture war. They can't disagree with Democrats who want to impose their left-wing collectivist economic central planning by force, because they also want to impose left-wing collectivist economic central planning by force. So they attack his religion in an attempted "gotcha" moment that completely backfires.
We've seen this happen repeatedly. It's not isolated to this one incident. Just look at the attacks on Mamdani - they are almost all either attacking his religion or attacking gay people. They cannot challenge his socialist ideas, because to challenge Mamdani's socialism is to challenge Trump's socialism. When they attack Elizabeth Warren, it's over her debunked claims to be Native American, not the economic views she shares with Tom Teepull's former boss Josh Hawley. This is becoming the GOP MO: ad hominem to hide how similar their own socialist views have become.
This is why Republicans will lose. Not just electorally, but morally, intellectually, and culturally. Republicans have decided to be nothing more than rude and stupid Democrats.
They stand for nothing. They claim to defend "Western civilization" while attacking the classical liberal Enlightenment principles that Western civilization is built on. They have become a movement based entirely around a single individual, whose policies are incoherent and whose ideas have been proven wrong over and over again.
There is nothing left of the Republican Party but their bigotry, and as we can see, it is not only repugnant, but irrational.

The closer you get to the impact of illiteracy in people's lives, the less you're willing to tolerate and stay silent about.
Me: “Why don’t we check your bag?”
She hesitated, then opened it.
We found four books she insisted she had never borrowed.
The librarian came over, and we checked the security footage together.
The video showed a little boy slipping books into the woman’s bag whenever she sat near the children’s section.
But the strangest part was that he had done the same thing to me.
The librarian recognized him as a regular visitor who often waited for his mother after school.
She called the boy’s mother, who arrived looking embarrassed.
Mother: “I’m so sorry. He loves reading, but he keeps hiding books in people’s bags because he’s afraid we’ll make him return them.”
Apparently, the boy had been borrowing books using his mother’s card, but she had recently told him they couldn’t afford late fees anymore.
So he’d started secretly putting books into other people’s bags, hoping someone else would return them.
The librarian explained that the boy wasn’t in trouble, but he couldn’t keep doing it.
Then the older woman had an idea.
Woman: “What if we start a little book exchange? People can bring books they no longer need, and children can take them home.”
The library agreed to organize one.
A month later, the boy was the first person to donate a box of his own books.
When he saw me, he walked over shyly.
Boy: “I’m sorry I put books in your bag.”
Me: “It’s okay. But next time, just ask.”
He smiled.
Boy: “Can I borrow one now?”
I looked at the librarian.
She handed him a library card application.
And that little boy finally got to take a book home without hiding it in anybody’s bag.

Is it possible to teach people how to speak clearly and fluently about eg something they want to do, about themselves, an experience, an enthusiasm, an interest, à point of view, à memory? a dissatisfaction? Is it a worthwhile thing to do to teach them how?

Quite a few schools do prayers. What’s the learning outcome there? No learning outcome = dumbing down. I’ve got that right, haven’t I?
I'm not an Elon hater.
I'm just telling you the Honest Truth:
This is a marketing stunt.
The technology is quite old.
Just nobody ever thought of bolting it on a car.
Because it's pointless.
Porsche or Ferrari could also build something like this if they wanted, but they don't, because it's not worth it for them.
It's worth it for Elon though, because his entire brand is all about having the halo of futurism.
His marketing scales especially well with tech gimmicks like this, which is why he is financially incentivised to do them, while others aren't.
Again, I'm not hating, but actually educating yall.
This is not engineering genius.
It's marketing genius.
