'Some bad news with the first confirmation of a population of a non-indigeneous crayfish species in an Irish waterbody. It is a Common Yabby (Cherax destructor) an Australian species so an alarming surprise. These should not be here.' - Brian Nelson (Ecologist @npwsBioData). – at Cork, Ireland
The @npwsBioData and the @MarineInst have issued a warning to all water users in Ireland about the severe & increasing threat to our native Crayfish species. More information: bit.ly/2JN0vvY #invasivespecies #checkcleandry
