🎶 We're off! A recording collaboration gets underway this afternoon & the start of a new adventure. Tomorrow we'll be proudly supporting RMT in a Parade to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street. Good times for Fishburn Band 🎶

⭐️Big things are happening! This weekend the band heads to London for a special collaboration with an internationally renowned recording artist. The first steps in an exciting new chapter are about to be taken. Stay tuned, we can’t wait to share more with you. Watch this space⭐️

🎶 Another great weekend supporting RMT at the Burston Rally & Parade. We also surprised our long-serving percussion player, Kevin Franey, with a presentation to mark his retirement from the Band after 38 years. Thank you for your dedication & ongoing support of Fishburn Band 🎶

Time to head back to the North East after proudly taking part in the 2026 Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival with the RMT banners & flags. Great to have so many supporters watching the events in the sunshine 🌞🎺🥁🎶

🎶 A long journey for us coming up as we head to the 2026 Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival. Running from 17-19 July we'll be marching in the main Parade on Sunday afternoon, 2 pm (19th) with the RMT Banners. Lots of music, workshops, speeches & we've booked the sun again 🌞🎺🥁🎶

🎶🎺 The weather was sunny for today's Durham Miners' Gala which brought out the crowds to line the streets. It was an honour to play 'Gresford' for the dignitaries on the stage before the speeches - such an emotional & thought provoking hymn on this special day 🎺 🎶

🎶 It's nearly time for Durham Miners' Gala when we'll be marching round Fishburn & Durham next Saturday. Before then we have our traditional FREE CONCERT in Fishburn Workingmens Club (TS21 4BU) on FRIDAY 10/7/26, 7.30 PM. Raffle & refreshments available - see you there 🎶

🎶 A mix of events for the Band in June - The Drovers' March & Hymn Tune Contest at Wetherby (5th overall) & a return to Hunwick village for 'Brass on the Grass' and strawberries & cream. Definitely no gazebo needed this year 🎶

🎺 Another weekend, another march, this time 'With Banners Held High' Festival in Wakefield. A few missing in our ranks, but our banding friends came along to help us out. An added bonus, fish & chips from Wetherby on the way back to Fishburn 🎺

A busy weekend - a May Day Parade & Rally in Newcastle before heading to Birmingham to compete in the Grand Shield at Birmingham Town Hall 🎺

Before going to Birmingham to compete in the Grand Shield on 3 May, we'll be leading the May Day parade in Newcastle on Sat 2 May (starting 11:30 am from the Bandstand, Exhibition Park) 🎺

⭐️🎺 Before we focus on Test Pieces for our Area & Grand Shield Contests, it was a privilege to be invited to be part of a fundraising event for the 2026 Miners' Gala at Redhills, Durham, sharing the stage with Eddie Dempsey (RMT), Mary Kelly Foy MP & Stephen Guy (DMA) 🎺⭐️

The end of an era - 2026 will see a move from Blackpool to Birmingham for the Spring Festival. We competed in the Grand Shield and are very proud to come 7th (number 4 draw) out of 20 top class Bands. All the focus & hard work with MD Chris Bentham is paying off 🎶🎺🥁🎶 – at Seaton Carew, England
