Thinking back to slightly warmer temps, and hot bites. Ready to get after it in my @aftco @aftcofreshwater Hydronaught bibs. #offshoretackle #mercurymarine #lowranceelectronics instagram.com/p/Cn-WfTMOTyN/…
This was found in Cabelas recently. We're getting alot of milage out of that Bass Pro shoot. @costasunglasses @crystalxrock @thalmanns_guide_service instagram.com/p/ClgyxfRrAJK/…
Wow! These are showing up everywhere. Very humbling but very cool.

Just finished up a brutal couple of days of shooting a Next Bite episode on the Detroit River. Post-frontal, high winds, sluggish fish, and COLD! Had a great time with Tommy Kemos and Robert Cardenas Fishing. #detroitriver #jigfish #thenextbite #icantfeelmyface #myfingersarenumb
Hey! I made the cover of the Bass Pro Shops Ice Fishing Kickoff. This was great time, and there's a bunch of cool video out there floating around also. It was cold! Like -20 every morning cold! #bassproshops #icefishing #fish #blackintheoutdoors
Had a great time on Lake Oahe taking my second win on the Cabelas/Bass Pro Shops Masters Walleye Circuit.
"Dennis Hunter and Ali Shakoor drove from opposite ends of the walleye world to come together and fish, learn and have fun in Mobridge, SD. What they learned is that it’s a lot of fun to catch big fish on Lake Oahe." 🤙

It's mayfly time, and I'm reaching out to science Twitter for help. If you have a hatch near you, I'm asking if you can collect maybe 30 or so for me. Just record date, and lat/long. Keeping them dry is fine. I can get FedEx info to you for shipping if necessary. @dkashian
Guess who's a co-author on a newly published paper on Potential Effects of Bigheaded Carps on Four Laurentian Great Lakes Food Webs. I worked on the Lake Michigan Ecopath/Ecosim model. @dkashian

Thankful to have played a small part in this project by discussing possible impacts of Asian Carp introduction into the Great Lakes. @dkashian, oops, I forgot to tell you about this one also 🤷🏾. @CLASResearch @waynestate #scicomm #greatlakes #aquaticecology #blackinstem

A little Sci Com I was fortunate to be able to do recently. I love it! @CLASResearch @waynestate #teachinfishin #scicomm #blackinstem #greatlakesscience
I saw this posted on FB by "Teachin Fishin" @teachinfishin It seems my students sneak off & do Sci Com & don't tell me about it😊. @FishScienceDude showing walleye movements in Lake Erie, why fish are here in the fall and how current and micro structure attracts & holds fish...
Western Basin Lake Erie right now. The bloom is firing up. Green as far as the eye can see. #habs #microcystis #algalblooms #BlackInSTEM #blackintheoutdoors #messingwithmyfishing
Good times filming a segment for @NWF on modeling Asian Carp invasion and their potential effects on Great Lakes foodwebs with @michiganoutside. Thank you for the opportunity! #blackinstem #asiancarp #greatlakesfoodwebs #ecopath #ecosim #blackscientistsmatter #blackintheoutdoors – at Dearborn Heights, MI
Get out and explore, beauty is all around. I feel like I should be collecting fish, aquatic macro inverts, water samples and water quality data. Where's my YSI? Copeland Falls, Rocky Mountain, National Park @RockyNPS

Here's a quick 1 minute video I filmed on Lake Erie to highlight some of my research. Try not to get seasick. #BlackInNature #BlackAFinSTEM #lakeerie #walleye #habs #scienceiscool #BlackScientistsMatter
Continuing with our 1-min science quarantine videos! This one is from the fabulous @FishScienceDude @WayneStateCLAS @WSUBioSci

Not a bad start to the delayed tourney season. 14th place finish and cashed a check in Cabelas/Bass Pro Masters Walleye Circuit on Lake Erie in Lorain, OH. #warriorboats #offshoretackle #aftcofreshwater… instagram.com/p/CBLPWXegsYB/…
Went in to do a water exchange today so I took a closer pic of the eggs. Object in the lower right corner is a few pieces of sand for scale. #ecotoxicology #aquaticecology #eyesstillhurting #backoffmanimascientist… instagram.com/p/B7waXEkAsss/…
What in the heck is going to hatch from these tiny eggs? Hint: it's not fish this time...
