I don't know how to fix the problem with Disney Lorcana TCG leagues. I run a league at Games of Berkeley. I'm not a staff member of the store. I get a small discount on purchases at the store in exchange for running league. League attendance is down. Everybody knows this. We struggle to fire most weeks. We have 6-8 regular attendees. Some weeks we only get 4. Some of it is schedules have changed for some of our regulars. They have kids, who now have soccer on Monday nights. Others are commuting home from work, and its tough to justify going to league after a long day and commute. It doesn't feel worth it for them to come to league. We used to have 20+ players every week in set 3 or 4. Things dropped off a lot with Fabled and rotation. We lost a lot of players to other games. Some of our regulars are playing Riftbound, Gundam, or other games now. We have some new folks come. We had a family come. We had some new folks come back last year in November or December. They come for 3-4 weeks and they get crushed losing every game to the regulars who have been coming every week since set 1 or 2. People who play fully loaded meta decks. Then they stop coming. Why would they? They just lose. One of our locals has started a newbie night to support those folks. But if the store doesn't have the Bandwith and Prizing to support multiple nights... that doesn't work. We've been out of Attack of the Vine! since 3 weeks into the set. You're also competing space wise with all the other games that the store might be running: mtg, Riftbound, one piece, etc. My league is up against pauper mtg. We used to out number them. Now they vastly out number us. I genuinely dont know what to do. My store is not on track to get legendary tier. We're a little off track. We're in the standard range over the past 4 sets, and we're short of the prorated November 1st deadline for the prorated Legendary tier. Even if we get Legendary, we probably wont be able to keep it up. Some of it is my local store could be doing more. We dont do a big release case tournament, and I've told them multiple times that an event like that would draw numbers and sell tickets. But some of it is the lack of incentive to come to league. The promos are unplayable garbage most of the time. The pins are gone. Nobody cares about the stickers and boxes. They sit and rot. I have people turn them down when I try to give them out. #disneylorcana #lorcana #disneylorcanatcg
