Racism. Toxic stress. Birth outcomes. How are these things intertwined? Join @FirstYearCLE for a film screening and panel discussion of the short film, "Toxic: A Black Woman's Story," which seeks to explore that question, on Wednesday, April 19, from 7–8:30 pm, in Noble Commons.

Racism, not race itself, is the main driver of maternal and infant mortality and low social determinants of health.

Loss and grief are not taboo subjects. By saying their child's name, remembering birthdays or asking a loss parent how they are doing, you will not remind them of the loss of their child because they never forget. But you will help them remember their child lived.

Intense week, but the overriding thing I want to say is please, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and haven't had a #COVID19 #vaccine yet, please make an appointment as soon as you can. Getting COVID instead just isn't safe for you or your baby.
