How in the world does USC not call a timeout to get that fumble reviewed? Lincoln Riley is a disaster

USC is 6-2, mathematically still in this. Players are in belief they can run the table. I stand with the boys. Let the dudes on the field write their own story not the media. Run the table. Fk it let’s ball. Beat the Buckeyes ✌️

not to get it confused, I absolutely support the USC football program and the players in that locker room. that will never change ✌🏻
it's a great week to Beat the Buckeyes. see you all at the Coliseum on Saturday ✌🏻⚔️

“Fine, let’s just settle it in the playoffs”

Just so I understand: The NCAA can retroactively vacate wins and losses that happened 5 years ago because a guy took a cheeseburger or made money off his image before NIL, but can’t vacate a very clear instance where the wrong team won a game after being gifted a free play!?

Having our biggest land border be with a culturally compatible and economically integrated ally was a hugely important factor in the rise of the United States as a major power and it seems like a bad thing to throw that away now.

Your 132-page script did not get easier to read.
Your low-concept script did not get easier to sell.
And your period piece did not get less expensive to produce.
But you can and should be encouraged that if enough people really love your script, they are still writing checks.

People have been asking:
How can a combined Paramount-Warner possibly release 30 theatrical films annually without recreating the gigantic fixed-cost studio apparatus Ellison supposedly wants to eliminate?
Coyote vs. Acme provides part of the answer.
You don’t make thirty $150–250 million internally financed studio productions. You operate an ecosystem.
Some films are internally financed tentpoles, some are co-financed, some are negative pickups, some are distribution acquisitions, some involve licensed IP.
Some are produced by outside companies under tightly controlled franchise agreements.
And occasionally another company takes something sitting on your shelf and monetizes it.
The studio becomes less MOVIE FACTORY and more:
IP PLATFORM + CAPITAL ALLOCATOR + DISTRIBUTION NETWORK + BRAND GOVERNANCE SYSTEM.
That’s our freeway again.

The reason the USA is not progressing in Soccer is because none of our soccer stars get into legal trouble, have a judge sentence them to coach a youth team as punishment, and then take the rag tag groups of kids to the state championship where they beat the team full of rich kids.

What timeline are we on man.
There’s a $60 million UFC cage on the White House lawn for the president’s 80th birthday. 125,000 guests. 494 port-a-potties. He compared it to the Eiffel Tower and said maybe they’ll never take it down.
The world’s first trillionaire was minted yesterday. SpaceX IPO. One person now holds more wealth than the GDP of most countries.
The government is negotiating to own a piece of OpenAI. The CEO walked into the White House and pitched it himself. They’re calling it a Public Wealth Fund.
That same government killed OpenAI’s biggest competitor’s models on a Friday night. The reason? A verbal jailbreak claim from an unnamed company. The same jailbreak works on OpenAI’s models. Nobody touched them.
The competitor got blacklisted by the Pentagon four months ago. Their crime? Refusing to let the military use their AI for mass surveillance of American citizens. A judge called it retaliation. The Pentagon did it anyway.
Both AI companies filed to go public in the same two-week window. Both targeting trillion-dollar valuations. One has a government equity deal in progress. The other can’t keep its products online.
The engineers who built the banned models can’t use them anymore. Because of their passports.
And an AI company that spent thousands of hours cooperating with government safety testing got punished harder than any company that didn’t bother.
UFC on the White House lawn. A trillionaire. Government-owned AI. Export controls based on phone calls. Cage fights and trillion-dollar IPOs in the same news cycle.
Watch the film titled Idiocracy. That’s the timeline we’re on.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

I think between the Knicks joy and the local/visitor “we like each other” vibes of the World Cup, Americans are experiencing something wholly patriotic, fun, accepting, insane, and without meanness or ego driven.
The UFC timing couldn’t be worse for Trump. This ship has sailed ⬇️.

99% of loglines I read don't make it clear:
- What's new or unique about this movie.
- What's the engine for fun, thrills, drama or laughs.
- Who the movie is for.
Worry less about the format. Who, what, where, and why is the easy part.
Worry more about getting THE CONCEPT right.
That's what gets people excited.
A project's logline can be shared 100x over the phone and in emails. It will get mangled each time.
If it keeps going, it is because what survives each time is the concept.
That clear, concise idea that generates great scenes.
No amount of tinkering will save a logline if the clear concept isn't there.
