Labour decimate Radcliffe over 10 years then try to claim credit for securing funds to regenerate Radcliffe! Somewhat paradoxical! 🤷♂️
November 2021 to March 2022 – design development with consultation with interested parties at key points.
April 2022 – planning application submission.
July 2022 – planning decision.
September 2022 – start on site, subject to planning approval.

Hearing some of the Labour Councillors speeches on Wednesday, it was unfortunately very evident that many did not actually understand what they were voting for. We’re very pleased that all RF, Con Councillors voted against this, including a Labour Radcliffe councillor.
.@BuryCouncil narrowly backs development masterplan amid opposition to the release of green belt land around Bury burytimes.co.uk/news/1947954…
Only one Radcliffe councillor voted against, Cllr B Mortenson (Lab) who posted a statement Wednesday which was later deleted. We’re clearly very shocked and bemused at her support for a plan which will take away Radcliffe’s Greenbelt and produce unaffordable homes, for the many.

Let’s start with just collecting residents bins, one of the main responsibilities you have as a council, and then, maybe... we can move onto bigger ideas 😅

Have your say on what’s important to you as we firm-up Bury’s plans for carbon action.
