Once you acquire hardcore skills and new career opportunities/paths open up, try to avoid those that pit you against other hardcore-skilled people playing zero-sum games. What you want to do is create new value, not just fight over existing value. And the way to do that is to build infrastructure that solves people's yet-unsolved problems. Be a builder, not just a fighter.

I mean these should be the rules within the first 3 months of a relationship. Trying to learn this after marriage is often too late. Not impossible but too late. You should go into a talking stage with all this in mind
As a young man who wants to have a peaceful marriage, read this carefully. One of the biggest MISTAKES you can make as a young man is believing that keeping your woman happy at all times is the same as having a peaceful marriage. They are not the same. Sometimes, the price of temporary happiness is your long-term peace of mind. If you want a peaceful marriage, you must learn to establish boundaries, demand accountability, and address disrespect before it becomes a pattern. 1. Don’t be afraid to speak about things that upset you. Even if she tries to turn the conversation around and make you feel guilty for raising the issue, stand by your concerns. When something bothers you, address it respectfully and confidently. Don’t suppress your feelings simply because you don’t want her to feel bad. A woman who genuinely respects you should be able to listen when you explain how her actions have affected you. The more you avoid difficult conversations to keep her happy, the more you risk teaching her that your discomfort is something she can ignore. 2. Never apologise for something you haven’t done simply to restore peace. This is where many young men get it wrong. Your wife is upset, refuses to speak to you, and suddenly you’re apologising for an offence you didn’t commit. You may think you’re being mature, but what happens when this becomes the standard way disagreements are resolved? You’re teaching your partner that accountability is optional whenever she’s sufficiently upset. Apologise when you’re wrong. Be humble enough to admit your mistakes. But never accept blame for something you didn’t do just because you want the house to be quiet. 3. Don’t reward disrespect with excessive affection. If your wife insults you, belittles you, or deliberately humiliates you, don’t immediately start buying gifts and begging for affection just to make things normal again. Address the disrespect first. Affection should never become a substitute for accountability. You can love your wife deeply without accepting behaviour that damages your dignity. 4. Learn to distinguish between her emotions and her behaviour. Your wife has every right to be angry, disappointed, frustrated, or unhappy with you. But having emotions does not automatically justify every action taken because of those emotions. Being angry doesn’t justify insults. Being frustrated doesn’t justify threats. Being disappointed doesn’t justify humiliation. You must learn to acknowledge her feelings without automatically excusing her behaviour. And you must hold yourself to exactly the same standard. 5. Never allow the silent treatment to become a weapon in your marriage. There is a difference between someone needing time to calm down and someone deliberately withholding communication to punish you. Respect her need for space, but don’t normalise prolonged silence as a means of controlling disagreements. Marriage requires communication, not emotional punishment. If every disagreement ends with you begging for days before your wife agrees to speak to you, that is a problem that needs addressing. 6. Don’t be afraid to say NO to your wife. Marriage is a partnership, not an arrangement where one person must always surrender their preferences to keep the other happy. If something is financially irresponsible, morally unacceptable, or damaging to your family, you should be able to disagree without fear. A reasonable wife may be disappointed by your decision, but she should still respect your right to have an opinion. And remember, she has the same right to disagree with you. 7. Never allow your sacrifices to become permanent expectations. You worked extra hours to support the family. You gave up something important to make her comfortable. You went beyond your responsibilities because you love her. Those sacrifices should not automatically become obligations that you’re punished for failing to repeat.

Dear President Kornbluth and Chairman Gorenberg, Yesterday, as I am sure you are aware, a Boston jury unanimously found that @MIT professor Kristin Knouse defamed David Sabatini, falsely accused him of rape and sexual harassment, and tortuously interfered with his contractual arrangements including his tenure at MIT. MIT and its tenure review committee relied on Professor Knouse’s statements when it took away David’s tenure and terminated him. MIT's policies explicitly prohibit harassment, retaliation, and fabrication of claims. Falsely accusing a colleague of rape and sexual harassment and pushing for his termination under false pretenses are clearly violations of MIT policy. In light of the unanimous findings of the jury after five years of discovery, many legal motions and countermotions by both parties, and a three-week trial in Suffolk County Superior Court in Boston: Is MIT going to take away Knouse’s tenure and terminate her? If not, why not? Is MIT going to restore David’s tenure, and apologize for firing him? If not, why not? In light of what has transpired in this grave miscarriage of justice, MIT has the opportunity and the obligation to right a serious wrong here. At a minimum, the public deserves transparency into what actions MIT is taking in this case as taxpayers are major funders of MIT. Sincerely, Bill Ackman
A civil jury ruled in favor of ex-MIT scientist David Sabatini, who was accused by a younger colleague of inappropriate sexual conduct in his Cambridge research lab, and awarded him $6 million in damages. trib.al/s3v9VIX

You must always remember that, before the Industrial Revolution, 50% of all people died before age 5. If you forget this, you understand neither the history that shaped us nor what still lurks in the shadows.

2 dates a month is very realistic. Damn you can’t take your girl out every other week? That’s very reasonable.

I didn't go to college until I was 30. This gave me a chance to see it with the perspective of an adult. One lecture in Industrial Psychology, in particular, I will never forget. The professor spoke about how an effective job description focused on concretely measurable tasks, not vague instructions, or characteristics. For example, "maintain an 85% or greater average on customer feedback surveys", instead of "be cheerful and upbeat", or even "interact positively with customers". This means that goals are clear, and performance is measurable. A job is to do something, not be something. Once some of the students had wrapped their minds around this concept, the professor decided to do a class exercise. He asked the female students to come up with a job description for "husband". At first, this went fine. The girls noodled around a bit with things they wanted their husbands to be (tall, etc), but he was able to gradually steer them towards describing what they wanted in terms of actions. But then he asked the male students to define a wife in the same way. And all the girls became upset. Some of them had full-on meltdowns. Every single thing that a male student wanted, or expected, from his hypothetical future wife was sexist, oppressive, old-fashioned, misogynistic, patriarchal, etc. They were literally screaming. Some of them in tears. And I realized something pretty quickly. It wasn't the actual, concrete responsibilities of the female role that they objected to. It was the idea of there being a female role at all, with any attached responsibilities. These women didn't want to be wives. They wanted to be pets. What's a pet? Well a pet is not a wife, or a friend. A pet is a creature of instinct, which you bring into your home because you like how it naturally behaves. You get a cat because you want to behave like a cat, and do things a cat naturally does, like play with string, and purr when you pet him. If he's smart, he'll adapt to you somewhat, but he doesn't have responsibilities other than "be a cat". If you get a wife, you get a wife so she will do things for you, specific things that are the responsibilities of wife, like care for your home, bear and raise your children, cook nutritious meals so you don't have to eat processed slop, look after your emotional well-being, and so on. These girls didn't want to be held responsible for those things. As married women, they might have anticipated doing some of them, but only some of the time. Only when they felt like it. The cat chases the string if and when it wants to, not because chasing the string is its job. These young millenial women didn't realize it, but they wanted to be pets. And that's what they were in their college relationships. They hung out with guys when they wanted to, had sex with them when they wanted to, broke up with them for someone new when they wanted to. Their relationships had no element of reciprocal responsibilities. They were perfectly at home with the idea of men having responsibilities to them, but they would repay those men if they chose, and how they chose, not how the men actually wanted. And as I've said twice already, someone you have responsibilities to, but who has none to you, is a pet, or a child. Since our ancestors, in a moment of foolishness and weakness, allowed women to vote, it is no longer legal to dole out the corrective spankings a great many of them both need and read pornographic novels about. Therefore, the corrective measure, for any man who finds himself with a pet instead of a wife, is to withdraw from any husbandly duties and start actively searching for alternatives. This can either result in a correction of the behavior, or the end of a relationship that offers no value. Either is acceptable. This may strike some of you as dishonorable, but there is no honor in keeping a broken pact, or in serving those who despise you. Men must have the pride and self-worth to say "I will be honored and respected, or I will depart to a place where I can be, even if I must be alone there." Men must honor and respect themselves.

Word of advice for younger readers coming from a place of love: when your parents get the most emotionally/irrationally angry at you, it’s usually because they see you mimicking some flaw they see in themselves that they swore they wouldn’t let show up in you.

The sad part about ALL of this is that it’s common sense. All the information in the world is at our fingertips and niggas are tweeting about how the nuclear family is white supremacy
Black women benefit from marriage more than any other demographic. A 173% income bump. This independent “ion got no n***, and no n**** got me.” Is a psyop. You’ve been played and tricked out of your position wirepoints.org/new-census-da…

1/4 A woman received a suspended prison sentence for blackmailing her former husband, threatening to destroy his career unless he paid her money. She made false allegations to his professional regulator, triggering a nine-month investigation. Yet nowhere in The Sun's reporting is this described as domestic abuse. Why? #DomesticAbuse #MaleVictims #JusticeLog

Not all people who accuse men of sexual assault are sociopaths. But all female sociopaths accuse men of sexual assault. If you give the world a win-argument button, the sociopaths *will* use it.
Replying to @justicelog
I've read two memoirs of female sociopaths and many true crime books about female sociopaths: Literally 100% of them used fake sexual assault and rape allegations to get what they want. Not all victim-heroes are sociopaths. But all female sociopaths use the strategy. Because it works and there's no way to fight it.
