ALT The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and FIRST Exploration & Petroleum Development Company Limited (FIRST E&P) happily announce the arrival of the Abigail-Joseph Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit to Nigeria. The FPSO underwent upgrade, refurbishment and life extension works in Keppel Shipyard, Singapore. The excellent partnership between NNPC, Nigeria’s Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), FIRST E&P, YINSON and Keppel Shipyard ensured these critical pre-deployment activities for the FPSO were completed in record time. A team of young Nigerian professionals were part of the successful execution works in the Keppel Shipyard and they will form an integral part of the FPSO operations team in the production phase. The processing and storage capacities include Oil Processing of 50,000 barrels of oil per day, Produced Water Treatment of 20,000 barrels of water per day, Gas Handling of 39 million standard cubic feet per day and Cargo storage capacity

ALT FIRST E&P successfully loaded-out the topside production module for their Anyala West Conductor Supported Platform from the Aveon fabrication yard in Port Harcourt. The 300-tonne module will be transported to OML 83, offshore Nigeria, to be lifted onto the pre-installed drilling deck using a heavy lift vessel after which the final hook-up and commissioning of the platform will be performed with first oil production commencing shortly thereafter. This is the first of two-conductor supported platforms currently under construction by FIRST E&P for the Anyala and Madu fields in OML 83 and 85.
