They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." The Polymarket illegal advertisement campaign has been going on for months across the app overall. In esports it's undisclosed partnerships from orgs and sponsored creators using paid partnership tags on their original tweets (as they should) but then quote tweeting each others' posts without said tags even though those too are ads. Relevant to note that around the same time this marketing push began (early-mid February), BLAST announced Polymarket as their official predictions sponsor for CS and Dota. Fortnite, League, Valorant, CS, Dota, R6 — major accounts of all kinds in every single title you can think of are backed (disclosedly or undisclosedly) by unregulated crypto casinos and prediction markets 🙂
