👏🔴 Ex-Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg pulled no punches on Man City's guilty verdict.
He told The Athletic: "We were sat there thinking: ‘How can City spend so much?'.
"I remember we played them at Wembley and there was a big banner covering thousands of seats as they couldn’t sell out their allocation.
"Their fanbase is nowhere near as big as Liverpool’s, but their commercial revenues were higher. It made no sense."

If this is protecting women...
Jay Mills, leader of Tommo's Patriots UK, was arrested shortly after allegedly beating his partner so badly she was left with bruising on the brain.
He also allegedly hurt the woman's daughter when she tried to intervene.

1. Who would benefit from the cuts?

Is Zionism racism? Anyone remotely familiar with Herzl and Jabotinsky, and what they wrote, would - at the very least - see that as a legitimate debate.
Watch this: youtu.be/Q1Iw2fm58FY?is=iy17…
Green party members have voted to back a motion stating that Zionism is racism, making the Greens the first explicitly anti-Zionist mainstream political party in the UK.
The motion, which was heard at the party’s largest ever conference in Brighton and passed by 1,022 votes to 813, also called on the party to back a single, democratic Palestinian state, to demand freedom for Palestinian political prisoners, oppose the Palestine Action ban and affirm Palestinians’ right to resistance.
An amendment to mitigate the risk that the motion could be used to target Jewish members affiliated with Zionist institutions was voted down. Supporters claim it wasn’t necessary, as the motion already separates Judaism from Zionism, and it will have no disciplinary impact as it is a political policy motion rather than one to do with internal party procedures.
The vote followed a conference weekend in which the motion was a controversial issue, with tensions running high.
On Saturday, dozens of pro-Israel demonstraters shouted at party members as they entered the conference centre. Chants included “There is no Palestine, there is no Palestine”, with some protesters holding signs reading “Anti Zionism = terrorism” and handing out leaflets claiming “The Green party is now the most racist party in Britain”.
Senior Green figures were split. While co-deputy leader Mothin Ali spoke in favour of it on Sunday, former leader Caroline Lucas spoke against, with co-deputy leader Rachel Millward telling Sky News it was “problematic” earlier in the weekend.
Green leader Zack Polanski did not vote, as he was campaigning in Holborn and St Pancras, central London, where he is standing in a byelection on Thursday in the hope of becoming the party’s sixth MP.
Green party policy already describes Israeli conduct as apartheid and genocide, backs a full arms embargo, sanctions and an end to occupation and illegal settlements, as well as a ban on the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as a terror group.
Motions voted for by members at conferences set the Green party’s long-term vision and policy platform. They do not determine election manifestos.

This case notwithstanding, does this not seem like an incredibly low bar for a murder defence?
If I murder someone because they stole from me I can argue loss of control because someone else in my circumstances "might have" acted in the same way??
Replying to @Care2much18
There's a big difference between 'would' and 'might' because would involves a certainty and might involves a possibility.
The law on 'loss of control' specifically says "might" have reacted similarly.

This is where we are in the UK in 2026. A volunteer for the RNLI loses his life and there's lowlife cretins who react with laughing emojis. Laughing at the death of someone who volunteers to save lives. Absolute scum.

‘None of Manchester Life’s homes are affordable, and the developer does not pay any subsidies for local amenities, known as section 106 payments.
‘Rivals say the partnership has created an uneven playing field for developing the lucrative east Manchester corridor next to the Etihad. “This is a sweetheart deal between the council and Abu Dhabi,” said one. “They get the land without any fair competition process, they can build apartment blocks, and when the blocks start earning millions the council gets no rental income. They don’t even have to make section 106 payments, like lots of other developers. The whole thing stinks.”
‘Manchester Life was launched with a promise “to rebalance the relationship between landlord and tenant to one of equals”. Just a year after the opening of a rental apartment block in Smiths Yard, residents received section 21 eviction notices. These allow landlords to evict tenants without giving a reason, even if the rent has been paid on time and the property kept in good condition.’

It was crooked from the start. No fault evictions on mass,no section 103 payments (used to help fund local infrastructure),land suspiciously sold for next to nothing (when others would have payed more). Burnham is desperate for them to get away with their cheating and tax evasion
