US leaves NATO. The EU decends further into socialism, possibly full-blown communism. NATO/EU antagonizes Turkey and they leave NATO. Possibly Italy and some Eastern European countries also depart NATO/EU. NATO/EU are the new Warsaw Pact. Becomes more aggressive to Russia. EU antagonizes Russia by letting Ukrane into NATO. In the mean time, in a bid to strengthen the US position against China, Russia & US develop stronger trade & diplomatic relations. NATO attacks Russia. US winds up supporting Russia against the EU totalitarian regime.

The root of corruption is money in politics. Do you support @kenmartin73 grassroots initiative to ban Super PAC money, including AIPAC, in Democratic primaries? House Democrats support below, except we would not have kicked John Lewis out at 75.

What determines which states have more expensive electricity? Renewable energy portfolio standards. States with renewable portfolio standards pay 45% more for electricity than states without them. That’s not a coincidence, that's a policy-driven pattern.

In 1964, a young University of Michigan anthropologist went to live with a tribe untouched by modernity. What he found destroyed the noble savage myth. Then his own discipline spent the next four decades trying to destroy him for publishing it. 🧵

Crazy how in the last 100 years: “Islam” is cited as the motivating factor for 98% of terror attacks. Communism killed 94+ million people. Abortion has killed 1.7 billion people worldwide. And Democrats run on those three main issues…

Trijicon stamped abbreviated Bible verses (JN8:12, 2COR4:6, etc.) on the ACOGs themselves for years. The military bought hundreds of thousands before anyone in the Pentagon officially noticed. When ABC broke it in 2010 it became a mini-scandal about “crusader optics” in Muslim countries. They quietly offered kits to grind the references off.

Polyethylene is the world's most produced plastic - shopping bags, milk jugs, cutting boards. It is also one of the hardest to recycle because it requires high temperatures or expensive catalysts to break its carbon chains. On September 21 2026, Oak Ridge National Laboratory published a process using inexpensive aluminium-based molten salts that breaks polyethylene into smaller hydrocarbon molecules at relatively mild temperatures. Output: approximately 60% gasoline-range molecules, with diesel and other products making up the rest. This does not solve plastic waste. But it converts a material with almost no recycling infrastructure into a fuel that can enter existing distribution systems - with no sorting required.

Starship transiting the Sun this morning during Flight 14 — prior to this morning's mission, this has never been captured before with the world's largest and most powerful rocket. I’ve ached over this shot for years, mainly for two reasons: what does methane exhaust look like silhouetted against the Sun, and how violent are the acoustic energy waves from 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy booster? Well...now we have an answer. 📸 - @NASASpaceflight

I rise once again to state that Fincantieri is not responsible for the dog’s breakfast that was the Constellation Class process. This is all in the lap of NAVSEA and OPNAV. Full stop. As I wrote at the time, the 57mm part of the selection process, clearly done due to LCS program backwash, was an indicator that the same people, processes, etc that begat that disgrace were not purged. Uniformed and civilian leadership post selection of the FREMM design failed their Navy and their nation due to their institutional failure to understand the larger picture.
Shipbuilder Behind Failed Constellation Class Wants Back Into The U.S. Navy Frigate Business Fincantieri wants to leverage its U.S. infrastructure for another new frigate as the Navy is once again looking for foreign 'production ready' designs. twz.com/sea/shipbuilder-behi…

LOL. It turns out that if you quote post or reply to any of @RoKhanna’s “eat the rich” posts with pictures of his mansions and golf clubs he deletes the posts. I’ve already done this to him twice. Give it a try.

Claude Monet is said to have called him "the master of light" and in 1909 he was one of the most celebrated painters in the world. Today, outside his own country, most people have never heard his name... He was Joaquín Sorolla, and that year he arrived in New York for his first American exhibition. The city fell for him completely: of the 356 paintings on show, 195 sold. He stayed five months and painted the President of the United States. Then he went home to the sea he grew up beside, and that summer, on the beach at Valencia, he painted this. He first called it The White Horse. A boy leads the animal out of the water, both still streaming wet, the sun running along the boy's bare shoulder and the horse's flank, then breaking across the shallows until the sand shines like glass. The canvas is over two meters wide, and up close the brushstrokes look fast, loose, almost careless. Step back, and they turn into some of the most convincing sunlight ever put into paint. Eleven years later, working in his garden, he had a stroke and never painted again. He died in 1923. By then the art world had moved on to Modernism, and beauty like this had started to look old-fashioned. Within a generation, the master of light had slipped into the shadows...
