And restore funding to a level that begins to improve the service, instead of continuing to cut it.
Every single firefighter and senior manager should ask him two questions.
1) Why are firefighters worth less of a pay rise than others in the public sector.
&
2) When will you give funding and a statutory duty for flood response in England to the FRS?

A picture tells a thousand words!!!!!!
Shameful and unsafe proposals from DSFRS.

According to @DSFireUpdates public buildings may not be available in the evening and 'older people/people with children may not be able to do an evening'. Not a problem for the residents of Woolacombe who organised their own event. Come on @DSFireUpdates - engagement, not excuses

The look on @DSFireUpdates Chief Lee Howell & his obvious nervousness shows that he knows exactly how dangerous these proposals are. *Any* professional #Firefighter will tell you that they are a clear risk to life @D_S_FBU
A village has held a day of protest against plans to close its fire station. Porlock is one of eight stations that could close across Devon and Somerset bit.ly/2YiS52Z

An even more important warning as they look set to seriously cut resources close to Dartmoor and Exmoor. Seriously inept senior management in D&SF&RS failing in their duty to protect. #cutscostlives
Heading to the moors this weekend? As the warm weather continues we are reminding everyone of the impact & damage that a wild fire has on the environment. They spread fast & can change direction in an instance while destroying irreplaceable habitats. shar.es/amAaWU
