The special credits of Key/Main Animator held by Miwa, Ookaji, Matsuura, and Hirohara (s1-2) no longer exist on the site. They do, however, still exist for Undead Unluck. This doesn't mean they won't participate, but it does mean they aren't tied to the production like before.

The lack of previous main animators and general absence of charisma animation/direction in the Fire Force PV is a bit concerning. That said, the general visual philosophy appears to be intact and it's great to see Ryo Ohashi's VFX again. I have thoughts.

I’m rewatching Fire Force episodes very slowly trying to capture cool/interesting frames that I missed first time round. I’m only on episode 4 but I’ll try to share the frames I think are worth sharing... these are some of the most interesting ones I’ve found so far

Fun Fact for you anime-only’s: Yū originally appeared in what would’ve been episode #4 (chapter 11 of the manga), when the talking Infernal attacked citizens. He didn’t appear again until it was revealed he was Vulcan’s apprentice, which was when he was introduced in the anime.

I refer back to this tweet from time to time to remind myself how absolutely blessed us Fire Force fans were with the adaptation we were given and how much we’re in amazing hands with S3/S4. One of the best modern shonen adaptations ever

Don’t let the lack of Fire Force at the #AnimeAwards fool you — this adaptation is incredible and everyone who watched it knows it. We won regardless
