Breaking into my local jewelry store tonight and taking 15% of inventory as a community service. You see, someone else could break in tonight and take 100%, so that makes me a good guy.

I was born and raised Presbyterian (I was even briefly a deacon at my church). The church I went to is a beautiful church from the 1600s, very simple and modest. It had a pipe organ from the 1800s which contributed to the cozy vibe. After moving to the south and visiting Presbyterian churches around here, it’s very different. You’re often in what feels like a high school gymnasium, and I have a hard time reconciling that going to church feels like I’m attending a Christian Rock concert instead. I don’t think this aesthetics grievance in of itself is a reason enough to convert, but it does affirm that Catholics very much understand the importance of this. I also have many friends who have converted to Catholicism, and the contrarian in me is now hesitant to hear them out because it seems like trend chasing 😂
