Freddy Peralta won ALCS MVP… because of course he did. People are quick to spam “lolmets,” which is fair. But nobody’s paying attention to the Brewers side of the original trade. There’s a real chance that Peralta (who the Brewers traded to the Mets) could end up being the reason the Brewers don’t win the World Series. At least the Mets got prospects in return that can help them in 2027. If you’re curious, go look at how Brandon Sproat and Jett Williams have performed in the Brewers organization. 👀 #LGM

The Mets may trade for a top arm this offseason. Pitchers like: 🔹️ Drew Rasmussen 🔹️ Logan Gilbert 🔹️ Joe Ryan The only question is whether any of those players can handle New York. Freddy Peralta certainly couldn’t. All three pitch for small-market teams. Should the Mets try to trade for one of these starters when there’s a chance they won’t pitch well in NY? #LGM

The way I’ve put it on my show is simple: David Stearns doesn’t deserve any of the credit for the current Brewers going to the World Series. He does however deserve most of the credit for turning the Brewers into a winning organization. The current FO and Pat Murphy took a well-built infrastructure and improved upon it.
There's some really dumb narrative out there that the Brewers have been more successful this year because Stearns isn't there lol. Matt Arnold has proven he's very good at this job and that current front office deserves a ton of credit, but Stearns certainly played a role in building up that roster/organization. We don't need to pass Stearns credit (it should mostly go to the folks still there), but blaming Stearns is nonsensical.

Would be a MASSIVE hire. I’d rather have K-Long back over most of the top bats on the market. Which is admittedly a reflection on how bad the free agent class is. But Long is as good as it gets for a hitting coach.

Should Kodai Senga be the Mets’ closer in 2027? 👻 Senga is the kind of player who needs a defined role. Bouncing back and forth between spot starts and bullpen appearances didn’t do him any favors. It was only when the Mets all but named him closer that he performed. So what do you do if you want to add a high-leverage arm in free agency or via trade? Make Senga your 8th-inning guy? Move him back to the rotation? Or just try to trade him? #LGM

The Freddy Peralta experience is everything it means to be a Mets fan. Brewers (2025): 2.70 ERA Mets: 4.99 ERA Rays: 3.25 ERA Why couldn’t he find success with the Mets? Is it the coaching, or is he just a small-market pitcher? Regardless, it’s a good thing the Mets found out he can’t pitch in New York before offering him a multi-year contract. #LGM

Right now, De Paula’s better. Good for the Brewers.
Shohei Ohtani is staying in the starting lineup for NLCS Game 3, per manager Dave Roberts. Ohtani is hitting .150 this postseason and hasn’t homered since August 18th.

Does Mark Vientos deserve a spot on the 2027 Mets? Looking at his 2026 season, it’s hard to find many redeeming qualities. He was awful offensively. He was awful defensively. He gives you nothing on the basepaths. And the only thing that seemed to grow this year was his ego. What should the Mets do with Mark Vientos?

Ronny Mauricio is out of options. Both literally and figuratively. He can’t be sent to Triple-A anymore, and there’s no clear spot for him to get regular playing time on the major-league roster. Should the Mets tender him a contract for 2027, or try to trade him? #LGM

It’s safe to say Bo Bichette will most likely be back in Queens next season. Hard to imagine any team offering more than $40M a year for a player who just put up a sub-100 wRC+.

Last night, starting pitcher Didier Fuentes got 11 outs against the Dodgers out of the bullpen. 🔥 Teams may start focusing on transitioning some starting pitchers to a bullpen role to have them throw 2–3 innings when needed mid-game. Could this be the future for Jonah Tong? 👀 #LGM
