Hey Team Squad, Olan here. I'm making a full video next week, I’ve just haven’t had time to sit down, but I wanted to get you another shipping update. USA: 100% done. Every US order has shipped, up through this Wednesday. That's about 20,000 orders. All my focus is on international now. Lately it's been about half re-ships for lost packages from UPS and half pushing out the last pre-orders. Our focus is closing out one country at a time. UK: Got about 200 orders this week for UK. Ireland: UPS confirmed they lost this batch, waiting on a re-credit from them. Every lost Irish order will be re-shipped. We re-ship a solid 100 from Nashville waiting on that re-credit. Canada & Australia: Each is down to its last ~1,000 orders. Austria, Czechia & others: Some UPS packages were shipped but never arrived. The problem is UPS is Macmillan's only carrier they use. And that's the only partner I got right now. So now the rest of the international is on me in Nashville using DHL and Global Post. We switched to Global Post and DHL here and have seen LOTS of success with both, so that's what we're using going forward. Only problem with that were just slower. We pack every book in multiple layers of protection, which takes a lot longer than the industry standard of tossing a book in a box. If your tracking stopped with UPS updating or your package never showed up, just contact us [DM / email] and we'll put you on the re-ship list. Every day the number of remaining orders gets smaller. I'll say it again and again: thank you for your patience. I've seen other creators releasing books hit the same issues, but I can tell you none of them have been shipping their own books for months on end. Happy Final Space Friday 📦 I missed last Friday's update; I apologize. My dog Tardis passed away after her mast cell cancer came back, and losing both of our senior dogs this summer hit harder than I expected. Just need some time in my own head. I kept shipping through it; the distraction helped. Here's the latest update. Over 2500 order went out this week. EVERY USA ORDER WILL BE SHIPPED BY NEXT WEEK. 🍾MOST SHOULD HAVE TRACKING USA PEEPS. After that, our focus is 100% on international. I wanted to get our plate cleared of USA because international needs our full attention. EU STUCK IN CUSTOMS? I'M RE-SHIPPING IT. I have extra books for exactly this reason. Anything sitting too long will get rescued and re-shipped from Nashville, not with UPS. I'm covering it. Were not as fast as MacMillan so this will take time but were coming up with a plan to attack these order stuck in Inner Space. WHAT HAPPENED: Macmillan has a partnership with UPS, and UPS turns out to be allergic to certain countries. No idea why. I know nothing about that company other than they ship packages. The new EU law didn't help either. Ireland and Poland are the worst effected: about 280 orders went out, and the tracking just stops. Nobody at UPS can tell me where they went or where they are. I tested other carriers. DHL and Global Post do best because they hand off to each country's own postal service. WHO'S SHIPPING WHAT: Canada, UK, Australia, and Germany are 70% of what's left, and Macmillan will ship those orders. Everything else will now ship from Nashville. 1,500 more pre-orders land here from MacMillan early week. ALSO DONE Major damage and lost claims have all been shipped; minor ones next. Found some lost orders from 2023 (about 34) and 2024 (about 23), now shipping from Nashville. More Midnight arrived from Macmillan, we talking those too. Macmillan is a sledgehammer sweeping through huge batches. We're a broom, slower, but we scoop up what's being missed. Please don't DM me on Instagram about orders. It's 80% spam about Elon Musk, and I can't tell what's real. Reddit is the best place if you want to do social media in a DM to me; just send your order number; I've processed 500 orders there this week. Or email support from the website, which is honestly the best way. I'm not done until everyone has their book. Did I think I'd still be doing this today? Yeah, I did. I've personally packed thousands of these, so I know how fast we can go at top speed. You might ask why I'm out here shipping books myself. I don't ask anyone to do anything I'm not willing to do alongside them. I'll be here until the very last book is out the door, and after, to make sure everyone is happy. Hey Team Squad, Need some help. [SPOILERS] This week has been one of the hardest of my life. I appreciate those of you who reached out and shared kind words. On Monday, my dog, my Mooncake, a solid rock in my life for over 14 years, passed away. After about 10 vet visits, she just declined so fast over the weekend. On Monday, we took her to the vet first thing in the morning. Within 30 minutes, she went into shock. My wife called me, I raced up to the vet, and we were told they thought the mass cell cancer had returned and spread throughout her body, but they couldn't find it. Her heart was beginning to fail. We did EVERY single test, bloodwork, X-rays, biopsies on multiple bumps...everything came back negative. We said goodbye, and then she was gone. It was like a nuke went off in my heart. I've been slowly getting back to work. I won't lie; it's been hard because I wrote the graphic novel not only as a goodbye to the show, but also as a goodbye to my dog, Tardis. Maybe that's what people are feeling after they read it. When we pitched Final Space as a show, we pitched it as a story about a boy and his dog. Well, my dog was only four years old at that time. When I wrote the novel, my dog was about 12 years old. I got Tardis when I moved to Nashville, and I was so alone in a house I was renting that I wanted a friend. (The first episode makes a lot more sense now.) I walked out of a taco shop with my wife, and there was an adoption truck. In the back was the dog that nobody wanted, my dog. She was tearing into a pack of water bottles. She was perfect. Every time I thought about the ending of this story, I thought of my dog. What would I say? What would I say knowing that one day this day would come? To finally let go of something I loved so dearly. And even knowing that day would come, I didn't realize how painful it would be. I'm close to the end of these pre-orders. Truly. There are a bunch we're still trying to get out. The crazy thing is, the last 8K has been harder to get out than the first 40K. I'm at the final push. I need some help, though. Just a little boost. Could a couple of you tell me what you thought of the story in the Final Chapter? When I read that stuff on Goodreads it makes me want to fight a bear for you guys, and it will help get my mind off the pain for a little bit. I love the patience. I love the understanding. And I promise, until the very end, I will see that every last book gets delivered. We went so hard for two and a half months straight, pulling 12 hour days. My energy is low, I get tension headaches everyday now, but my soul has still got the fight in it. I'll keep fighting. Thanks guys! -Olan

Melancholy Final Space Friday! Thanks for the kind words on my dog, Tardis. I wish I could say things have gotten better…it feels like this week we were going one step forward two steps back. The hives are just not going away. I don’t know anymore. We’ve been watching her all week been to the vet multiple times. Just…I don’t know. So yeah…anyways thank you. I’ll be honest I’m a bit too sad to update on everything but here’s a small one. In better news EU packages have slowly started to go through the customs block. (Falls to knees) I’ve been seeing the posts, I’ve been using different carriers all week trying to break through. It causing confusion on the order numbers front because those numbers are all over the place because they’ve been in customs do long. We got out hundreds upon hundreds midnights/damage replacements and pre-orders out this week. Stayed up at the shop until midnight everyday this week. We hit a small snag on a data thing more annoying than anything, now that we’re shipping out more than just midnights now from Nashville we’re have to track that with MacMillian and cross reference with everything they shipped out to avoid shipping duplicates. Which has happened because of re-ships and damages. Good news we got it figured out. More Macmillan orders will start rolling next week. I see the number of open orders go down every week. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, just need to keep going. Whatever it takes day or night Im going to see this to the end. Appreciate all of you. You’ll are the best. Thank you. O

Happy Final Space Friday, Got a few updates for you. First, I was only able to pack/ship 350 orders myself this week from the Nashville side. Macmillan got about about 2,000 a few days ago. Im going to keep working through the weekend. I have more help coming today! BUT were under 10,000 orders left. We also have shipped out so many orders we’re trying to make sure all our data between MacMillan and Nashville are the same. But my nights this week, which are usually filled with packing has been watching my dog, Tardis, my Mooncake…she has not been not not doing great and I’ve been staying up all night try to watch her. We’ve been to the vet five times over the past few days, during the day and night. She is very old, we got her in 2012. She’s been called covered in hives, stopped eating and has been throwing up and even had blood in her poop. Vets can’t figure it out. This dog has burrowed into my soul. I know the day is coming where I’m going to have to say goodbye but it just cannot be today or tomorrow or ever. As I write this shes off to stay at the vet all day as they try to figure out what’s wrong. So I sincerely apologize, I usual doing about 12-13 hour days, this week has been a rough one. I did also manage to send out a bunch of test orders viva different carriers to see which gets through the EU customs first. So far none have gotten through when I see when break through I’m going to switch to that carrier. I’m planning a trip to Virginia to grab a bunch of books to drive back with them to Nashville so we can finish the lost and missing orders, damages. Happy Sunday Night Update. Lots of packing over the weekend. Massive chunk of Midnights and Battle Worns going out tomorrow. Working on getting a big shipment of Pre-Orders to Nashville from Virginia, so we can start on replacements while MacMillian continues forward on Wave 1. We’re so dang close to this finish line, I’m going to keep working until the last book is out day or night, weekday or weekend. 🫡 Onwards! -O

Happy Final Space Friday! Lots to update on. We’re so close to finishing shipping. We’re just waiting on the next tracking list from MacMillan. They usually send them in batches of 6,000 to 7,000 orders, so we should get the next list sometime next week. We’re now into the 40,000s, which is awesome. In fact, at the past few tour stops, everyone who was still waiting on an order had order numbers in the high 40,000s to low 50,000s, so we’re getting really close to the 2026 orders. There are still some orders that have been lost, are stuck in customs, or were returned to sender and unfortunately destroyed. International orders still seem to be getting caught in these weird customs queues, and unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about that, that’s entirely a government process. I know the new EU regulations that went into effect on July 1 have also created a bit of a bottleneck. Once WAVE 1 is complete... WAVE 2 is all about getting replacement orders out. This is a normal part of shipping something on this scale. The unexpected happens. We once had a Mooncake plush travel the entire globe before finally arriving at its destination in the United States. It showed up three months later...I still have no idea how that's even possible. Once we hand a package over, it's in the hands of the carriers. We've shipped with UPS, USPS, FedEx, and DHL, and honestly...they're all about the same. We are going to get your replacements to you. We just have to finish this first wave, and we're sooooo dang close to WAVE 2. Midnight Editions are moving, and Battle Worn editions are moving too. We're just a much smaller operation, and the way we pack these is drastically different. More protection means more packaging, and more packaging takes more time. A big batch will be going out next week, so keep an eye out. I guess this is part of the update too... headaches. All the time now. Tension headaches in the back of my head. I've still got a little fuel left in the tank, but I can definitely feel the fumes. Meeting all of you on these tour stops has given me the energy to keep going. Maybe I did Part 1 of the tour a little early because I needed to refill the tank to actually see where all this hard work has been going. One fan told me she "put Final Space on when the pain became too much to bear." Man...I wanted to move a mountain for her. Moments like that make me want to keep going. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for the kind words. The only way I can describe this project is like climbing Everest. The closer I get to the top, the less oxygen and energy I have. But when I finally get there... I think the view is going to be incredible. I'll continue not posting any spoilers until everyone has their books. Exhausted that has found new meanings for me. I’m so tired all the time. I feel like Frodo at the end of Return of the King when he says “I can’t recall the taste of food, nor the sound of water, nor the touch of grass.” But I got updates. We’re going to see this through the very end. You have the patience of Kings and Queens. Thank you. We updated an additional 7,000 tracking info a few days ago. We get these at the top of each week. We’re entering the order numbers in the #40,000’s I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, tracking comes a bit later because we’re doing things manually because of the two different systems from MacMillian and us. Once we’re done, we’re going to do a whole round of replacements. We just have to get through the 1st round shipments. We’re 85% to 90% done with shipping on our end. Now shipping is different than receiving, the new wondrous wrinkle we’re seeing is customs, lots of novels are sitting in customs, I guess some laws have changed on July 1st. This is something I can’t control and I know nothing about as well. It’s been awesome to see so many get the novel across the world. Appreciate the continued patience. There so much I want to discuss and post once we’re all done. I’m not posting any spoilers or anything until we get all the novels out but also until people read the novel. And then I got a whole wave of things I have ready to post. It’s been so awesome to hear almost everyone say they are re-watching the show before the dive into the book. Daz is working on the 2nd expansion part. It’s looking great. Onwards! -O

So far we’ve shipped out over 35,000 novels, insane but the job isn’t done yet. Based on the pace we should be done shipping out everything over the next 2-3weeks. Hey everyone! A quick shipping update. We’re still packing and shipping every day, and we’re getting close to the finish line. On Monday many of you will be getting orders. Here’s where things stand: 1. Macmillan has all orders and is working through them. They’re now deep into the 30,000–40,000 order range. There are stragglers from earlier order numbers…because of address updates. One of the biggest slowdowns has been reshipping books that went to old addresses. International orders are also moving at different speeds depending on each country’s customs. Since I’m covering the import taxes, there shouldn’t be any extra charges when they arrive. It’s been amazing seeing thousands upon thousands of books showing up all over the world. 2. Honestly, address changes continues to be the biggest issue by far. 9 out 10 times when hasn’t gotten it in the batches we’ve sent out it’s been this. 3. Good news: every 2023 order has shipped. If you ordered in 2023 and still haven’t received your Color Edition: • International: There’s a good chance it’s waiting in customs. • U.S.: It’s most likely a delivery issue, an old address, or a package lost in transit. If that’s you, please use the contact form on finalspaceends.com with your order number so we can track it down and make it right. We’re also waiting on the final batch of tracking updates for those orders, which should be in next week. 4. 2024 orders are almost finished, and 2025 orders are starting to arrive. I know it’s been a long wait. If I were shipping 50,000+ books myself, I’d probably die. All I dream about is shipping and packing.
