P2 Book Launch The P2 children had a great morning at the book launch of a new children's book ' A Belfast Fairytale'. The children also took part in a live broadcast for Radio Ulster during the event.

P1 Pumpkin Investigations Mrs Watson's P1s have been studying pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. They have been developing language and Maths skills by looking at colours, lines, height, estimating and making predictions.

Water Charity Day Thank you to everyone who sent in money to dress in blue for water last Friday. We raised an amazing £1000! There is enough money to install two boreholes for water as part of Ms Mawhinney's Indian trip. Watch out for photos to follow!

Boys Football Success Well done to our boys' football team who played superbly well in a Breda Academy Tournament at Olympia. The boys narrowly missed out in the final coming second overall. Great teamwork snd determination was on show in every match.

Harvest Celebrations Thank you for all of the food donations for The Living Room at Compassion Belfast. We were blown away by the generosity of our families and know that this will make a real difference to many families in need in our city.

Early School Closure School will close at 1pm every day this week for Parent Teacher meetings. If driving, please drive and park safely around the school site due to the extra traffic expected at 1pm. Thank you.

Non Uniform Day Reminder Children can wear blue for our charity day to raise funds for bringing clean water to an Indian village as part of Ms Mawhinney's trip.

Coding After School Club The children loved working together to code the game "Heads Up" on MicroBits during this week's After School Clubs.

Amazon Jungle Show The children in Mr Matchett's P3 class loved getting up close with lots of interesting animals during the Amazon Jungle Show. Mr Matchett even conquered his fear of frogs during the session!

School Photographs Reminder Individual photographs will be taken in school tomorrow. Please make sure you have registered your child online using the code sent home last week and posted in Google Classroom. If not registered, photos cannot be taken.

PTA Cookery Demonstration Thank you to everyone who supported our Cookery event last Thursday. It was great to see some delicious dishes prepared and to sample them at the end. Huge thanks to the team of chefs and staff for making the event a success.

P3AF Grow Zone Mrs Flanagan's children explored senses in a Forest School session in The Grow Zone. They looked for things that felt different as well as finding flowers with the best smells. Their taste buds were tickled with peppermint tea and pink lady apples.
