Every naira you don't control is a naira controlling you.
And it's been happening longer than you think.
They spend before they think. They react to money instead of directing it. And at the end of the month, they wonder where it all went.
Money was never supposed to be your master. You were meant to use it as a tool.
That means telling it where to go before it disappears. That's what budgeting does - it keeps you from spending impulsively.
That means keeping some aside before life throws something at you. That's what saving does - it helps you in difficult times.
That means putting it to work so it grows. That's what investing does - it multiplies what you have and creates opportunities for you and the people around you.
When you're in control, you have the authority to make your money work for you.
To grow it.
To expand it.
Most people will never experience that. Not because they don't earn enough - but because nobody taught them they had authority over it.
Which one are you starting with - budgeting, saving, or investing?
If this made sense to you, there's a lot more coming.

The hardest part of success isn't starting. It's staying consistent when nobody is clapping, nobody is reposting, and nobody believes you're making progress. That's where winners are created.

Some of you are so out of touch with reality that don't know people are earning 28k at the end of the month.
You feel everybody is earning $1k.

Sometimes, you won't have a shoulder to cry on or a back to lean on, but you will always have God to pray to.
When the wisdom of man fails you, go on your knees and pray.

If you do not have a plan for yourself, there is a high probability you are not going to achieve the goal.
If you wait for other people to help you determine how far you can go, I guarantee you that their plan for you is nowhere near what is possible for your life.
The moment you know you are the strategy, you are the prize, and you have to do the work, the sooner you can begin digging deeper into the person of you.
The earlier you begin, the sooner you can make the real impact you are designed to make.

I think we sometimes forget that this life isn’t even ours to begin with🥹
The next minute isn’t promised. Call your parents, friends, siblings, and everyone you cherish today.
One day, all you’ll wish for is to hear their voice just one last time, but you won’t be able to.

I went from earning ₦30k to building a multimillion-naira investment portfolio. 🥹🤍
What changed?
I stopped believing my current reality had to be my permanent reality. I learned about money and started investing consistently.
Because I CAN. And so can you.
That’s why @TheFintribe Finance Fair’s theme, “I CAN,” hits home for me.
