Just like last season, the injury crisis in forward areas is insane. Literally no senior strikers fit, and now the best winger is out too. If I was Bosz, I'd be pretty pissed that the forwards the club signed in the summer were both nowhere near fit and still aren't...

Excited to be at the O2 covering the Laver Cup this weekend - watching Carlos Alcaraz play tennis is a pretty cool way to spend one After his win last night, he told me about how much he wishes he could fit more doubles into his career 👇👇 flashscore.com/r/?t=5&id=A7i…

One for my North American followers: A new site called The Orangerie has launched that provides coverage and analysis of the Eredivisie and Oranje for those of you who (incorrectly 😉) call it soccer, check it out at the link in the reply to this tweet! 👇👇👇

Really insightful analysis of a fascinating tactical battle. Was so nice to watch such a high-level match between two of the top Dutch sides, can't remember the last time two of them had really strong squads and elite coaches.

This is what I'd guess our starting XI will be next month & what it will be once the injured players are back & Xavi has had some time to get to know his team. Read more about why I think the team on the right will become his first-choice XI at the link in the tweet below!

Pretty happy with this. He's not a world-class player, but easily one of the best in the Eredivisie, and his versatility is a big bonus. Think the focus should be getting another CB and a Veerman replacement now, so kind of surprised that a striker seems to be the priority.

It's not just Dortmund that have rated Joey Veerman highly. 📈💪

For all of his flaws, Joey Veerman is the player I've enjoyed watching most over the last few years. Gutted PSV are losing him, but can't wait to see how he does at Dortmund I wrote about his incredible numbers, style of play & more 👇 flashscore.com/r/?t=5&id=Ch7…

So relieved about this given it looked like we'd end up with Reiziger or Martinez. A young manager with a great knowledge of the Dutch philosophy and experience of winning major international tournaments as a player. Hell yes.
BREAKING: As per De Telegraaf, Xavi is the leading candidate for the Oranje job, and Patrick Kluivert is set to be his assistant. It looks like we may finally have a new coach, and I'd be very happy with that outcome!

GUYS I’ve started a YouTube channel covering all things Turkish football with the Super Lig starting Friday. Obviously I’m a novice right now so I’m gonna keep improving things and the set up etc, so bear with for the time being. Would appreciate it if you could subscribe and watch my first video on Galatasaray please! youtu.be/q-fgFWDbss0?is=B0s7…

Impossible challenge: Figure out the colour of the new #readingfc away kit Assuming the third one is the most accurate (looks great!), actively making your kit look worse in the official club shop and promo images with weird filters and lighting is a bold choice

I get that the KNVB going for Van Gaal again may seem crazy from the outside, but most don't realise just how good the results were in his last two spells - he lost just two out of 37 competitive matches, & both those losses were on penalties. Bring him back.
With Voetbal International naming Reiziger, Van Gaal and Van Nistelrooy as the three managers in contention, who would you most like to take charge of Oranje?

Can only hope this serves as a wake-up call for Earnie Stewart & PSV - they can't be heading into the season with this back four. More is needed, but getting Geertruida in and signing Sano so Mauro can move to LB would be a good start.
0-4 via een strafschop. @PSVAZ

As we all anxiously - and very impatiently, if you're anything like me - await the appointment of a new coach and the start of a new era, I reflected on what went wrong for Oranje at the World Cup 👇👇 open.substack.com/pub/clockw… l
