Don't get victim-blamey on me, there were no real alternatives to Twitter to build a career like I did with it. I know the spiel about open platforms.
I also know that if their UX is bad people won't use them and you can't build a career on them.
Twitter was special.

And, yes and yes, this will help reduce the smoke in an indoor environment and fairly quickly, too. Ask for a MERV-13 rated filter in the hardware store.
(MERV-11 also works but less so).
