No surprise that @3xchair hated YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING. But a review that opens with whataboutism has already told you it isn't really about the film.
UPDATE: Tickets booked for Saturday @ Cinema City Poznań Kinepolis, Poznań Poland! 3 hour road trip! WOO HOO! cinema-city.pl/filmy/zobaczy…
With no German distribution deal in place I guess I’ll have to make this journey. 13€ to another country seems more than fair. (cc: @egeofanatolia)

Wow, this German retitling (MY WIFE, OUR DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, AND ME) just rolls off the tongue, huh?
Someone got hired (and paid!) to do this? Truly one of the laziest efforts I’ve ever seen.
Hmmm… @brofromanother's DIGGER review is smarter than most, which makes its evasions harder to forgive. It faults the film for hiding behind irony, then does the same: more puns about Iñárritu's ego than sentences on the film's politics or form. Schade.
On Alejandro González Iñárritu's DIGGER, for @ringer theringer.com/2026/10/05/mov…
This is absolutely spot on.

I just got out of Digger and anyone who doesn’t like it is just not literate enough to get it, or complicit in the systems that it’s critiquing. Americans do not understand class critique, imperialist critique, or Brechtian theatre. They do not understand art that engages it.
Filmbrain (Andrew G) retweeted
The only reason I can think for why “Digger” is bombing at the box office is because we live in an Idiocracy culture.
It’s a smart movie, it demands your close attention, and it’s not for everybody.

This is why we need cinema: 'The Pervert's Guide to Utopias' by Sophie Fiennes, a review eninarothe.com/movies/2026/9…
What an absolute buffoon.
Germany: Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Jewish life in Germany is no longer safe, calling it the gravest burden of recent years and “a disgrace for Germany.” Merz pledged to use every available means to protect Jewish communities, particularly in Berlin, and said the rise of open antisemitism should deeply concern every democratic party in the country.

Finally, some good news. Here’s hoping something actually comes of it.
Germany is back before the ICJ over allegations of complicity in genocide.
As the Nicaragua v. Germany case returned to The Hague this week, The New Arab spoke to international law expert Dr. Nahed Samour about what’s at stake.

Zionists calling NAZA (a film none of them have seen) antisemitic.
The film was made by 2 Israelis, consists of 24 Israeli soldiers describing their own orders, & produced by J. Glazer.
A word meant to protect Jews from murderers, now used to silence the Jews who filmed them.
The Gaza documentary “NAZA” earned a massive 24.5-minute #VeniceFilmFestival ovation as the crowd cheered and waved Palestinian flags.
This marks the longest-ever standing ovation at Venice, beating the 22-minute ovation for “The Voice of Hind Rajab” last year, and perhaps the longest at any film festival, period.
The new documentary was shot at night on the rooftops of Tel Aviv and shows “in detail the systems behind Israel’s calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza,” per an official synopsis. Abraham and Szor interviewed 24 Israeli military intelligence officers and soldiers — all of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity — who were involved in the surveillance or remote killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Their appearance and voices were digitally altered to disguise their identities.

This review is madness.
‘Look Back’ Review: Hirokazu Kore-eda’s Hyper-Faithful Adaptation Draws Rich and Dazzling New Textures from Manga and Anime indiewire.com/criticism/movi…
Clearly in the minority on Kore-eda’s LOOK BACK.
It’s 65 minutes of schoolgirls drawing manga — no dramatic tension, no arc, but loads of repetition — then a page-70 tragedy the script did nothing to earn, followed by more endings than RETURN OF THE KING.
Happy that @PeterBradshaw1 reviewed our film, but that director Sophie Fiennes doesn’t get a single mention is rather disrespectful.

I think there’s an embargo on the film I saw tonight at @la_Biennale but….yeesh. An absolute misfire from a director I used to quite like…
