WICKER was resplendent. The epitome of a Sundance film. Performances were wonderful—to be expected from such talents. But, there was true heart and wholesomeness to the story beyond the sexy wicker comedy. Adored. We all deserve to be loved like this.

I PLAY ROCKY stands less as a character piece & more as a love letter to the magic of filmmaking. Despite all odds against this production, the film itself becomes a representation of the true underdog story. I don’t know where they found Anthony Ippolito, but whoa.

#SenseandSensibility WAS EVERYTHING!!!! I wanted to live in each frame and just breathe in nature. The cast is incredible and had wonderful chemistry. I was hooting & hollering, what a time I had.😭

SENSE & SENSIBILITY… ✨swoon✨ An absolute breath of fresh air for the heart & the senses. Masterful in every aspect. A true piece of feminine beauty & craft. I couldn’t get enough of the magnitude of artistry Georgia Oakley brought together alongside so many talented women.

I need a drink after WHALEFALL. I need to catch my breath. That was an intense couple of 106 minutes. Austin Abrams is a charmer, as always, under perilous circumstances. Beautifully shot. A vibrant musical score. Immersive, terrifying & oddly therapeutic. Couldn’t look away.

#WHALEFALL is one of the few movies that has left me gripping my seat the entire time. What a whale of a time. Austin Abrams shows why he's the best actor to play someone in an unearthly situation. I loved putting my Animal Planet upbringing to good use. 🐋

The Bird's still got it! RAY GUNN turns up the heat on this award-season race for Animated Feature. It's a thrilling sci-fi neo-noir spectacle, rich in character, production & sound design. Michael Giacchino's score is impeccable. I felt like a kid the entire way through.

TENZING is remarkable work of filmmaking & quite frankly a perfect film from Jennifer Peedom. The way the narrative weaves past & present elevates the adventure biopic beyond what we usually see in the genre. The practical work brings it to new heights. #Tenzing

A STATEMENT has come out as one of my favorites of NYFF. Despite its bleak ending, there’s a lot of hope within it. McCarthy has accomplished a complex, emotive, and important feature thanks to the research materials and the A+ ensemble assembling it all together. #NYFF64

Tony Gilroy’s BEHEMOTH! carries a certain gravitas that meshes quiet melodrama with occasional humor as Pedro Pascal delivers a calm-before-the-storm type of performance. A symphony of generational trauma, it feels nostalgic at times thanks to its powerhouse scoring. #NYFF64

BEHEMOTH! surprised me with its silence & stillness despite its subject matter, allowing us to take in what was truly happening. Pedro Pascal's subtle performance is a career best, but the rich score is the star of the film. Can't wait to listen to it on a loop. #NYFF64

#TheOnlyLivingPickpocketInNewYork left me in tears with its simplicity & heart, not what you expect from a film with such a title. It felt so real that forgot I was watching a film. The highlight of #NYFF64 so far. What a picture.

Oh what a joy it was to witness #MakingMarieAntoinette! I have been a long-time admirer of Sofia Coppola & this personal look behind the scenes reaffirmed my love for the craft. What an absolute gift! #NYFF64

#PaperTiger is a classic film that failed to blow me away. I admire its craftsmanship and performances, but the story never fully clicked for me. It is one of Adam Driver's strongest performances. #NYFF64

DIGGER is egregious & outrageous. It’s a tragic farce of the current disasters we’re living through told comedically by outlandish performances at the hands of a top-tier cast. Ultimately, while it may be a divisive picture, it’s about the importance of art in trialling times.

#LaGradiva is a film that I will be thinking about for years to come. I reminisced about being lost at that age & trying to figure out life & was heartbroken at the realization that so many young people are lost due to being ignored. I will be forever haunted. #NYFF64

#Everytime is a too-real showcase of grief and how it looms heavily over us even when we try to live our day-to-day lives. The third act's absurdist tone has stayed with me, despite having more questions than answers, but what is grief if not constant questioning. #NYFF64
