1/ Difficulty went up ~6% last epoch and is tracking another ~5% for Oct 29. Is the mining-to-AI story over?
2/ Not over, just overstated. Some miners are putting their best power contracts into AI and HPC, and that's a rational balance-sheet choice.
3/ But hashrate doesn't vanish. Newer machines, cheaper power and new operators pick up the slack, and difficulty shows it.
4/ For miners who stay, the takeaway is simple: efficiency and revenue strategy matter more every epoch. Get paid predictably, every 4 hours, in BTC or USDT, and plan around the retarget.
