As a newly established think tank based in Dubai, we believe that for far too long, our narrative as a region has been told for us, and not by us.

🇸🇮 Fiker Institute was pleased to welcome the new Ambassador of Slovenia, HE Sabina Stadler. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on developments shaping the region & the wider international landscape, as well as areas of shared policy interest.
The session considered the implications of these shifts for regional security, diplomacy, & the evolving balance of power in region. Dr Lina Khatib is a scholar of Middle Eastern geopolitics & security, & an Associate Fellow at Chatham House.
Fiker Institute was pleased to host Dr Lina Khatib for a lecture titled ‘Beyond Polarity: The Middle East’s Emerging Strategic Alignments’.
The panel discussion will feature Ruqayya Alblooshi (Prime Minister’s Office of the UAE), Khaled Kabbara (UNHCR), and Danah Al Dajani (AGF), moderated by Dubai Abulhoul (Fiker Institute).
As part of their series on Shaping Future Arab Development Priorities, Fiker Institute & the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation (AGF) will co-host a panel discussion titled “Regional Adaptability & Economic Development”.
The event was attended by HE Geraldine McCafferty, British Ambassador to the UAE; HE Maria Belovas, Ambassador of Estonia to the UAE; HE Liashenko Oleksii, Consul-General of Ukraine; HE Aliaksei Zhaldybin, Consul-General of Belarus, alongside the Institute’s partners & guests.
Fiker Institute marked its fifth anniversary by hosting a special event attended by His Excellency Zaki Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to the UAE President and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University.
