Articles 21 and 22, and India's judicial system, protect the fundamental rights of everyone, from terrorists to corrupt police officers. But when it comes to protecting husbands fundamental rights, both the courts and these constitutional safeguards seem to fall silent. While fighting my 498A case, I once asked the judge, Who exactly was Article 21 written for? He threatened to send me to jail. I argued for nearly half an hour, exposing how Article 21 seems to fail when husbands need its protection. The judge was furious, but thankfully, I walked out of that courtroom without going to jail...! जय संविधान...!
Illegal #Arrest: Madras High Court Orders Release Of Cop Detained Without Reasons Despite Complying With BNSS Notice When we apply Articles 21 and 22 of the Constitution to grant relief to #terrorists, it would be inequitable to deny the protection to #Police officers who are on the wrong side of the law, Court said. livelaw.in/high-court/madras…

Imagine the audacity! UPSC AIR 177. IPS officer. And then she puts her own husband and his father through this! In Shivangi Bansal @ Shivangi Goel v. Sahib Bansal (2025 INSC 883), the Supreme Court recorded that her husband spent 109 days in jail and his father spent 103 days. The Supreme Court had to direct her and her parents to publish an unconditional public apology in national English and Hindi newspapers and on social media. The marriage was dissolved under Article 142. Connected proceedings were quashed. She lost alimony and maintenance. Imagine the audacity! Dragging your husband and his elderly father into criminal litigation, seeing them spend months in jail and then being ordered by the Supreme Court to apologise publicly! And this is an IPS officer with AIR 177! Men, think twice before marriage. A fancy degree and a prestigious designation mean absolutely nothing if the person lacks basic character and accountability. Don’t let someone’s qualifications blind you to their character. You and your parents may end up paying the price.

Wife was in adultery. She was even giving up custody of both kids. But the judges cancelled the settlement after hearing the wife. As soon as they came to know that the husband had videos, they went against him and cancelled the settlement. Still, she wanted the case transferred to her place. And my Lords granted that! This is how the judiciary encourages adultery by wives? All we know is what will happen next. She will harass him by demanding huge maintenance, and the husband will be left fighting yet another battle in court.

We don't know about other countries, but in India: ▪️She files for divorce: He Pays ▪️He files for divorce: He Pays Merits of the case DO NOT matter. Everything is about "Monetary Settlement", after which all "alleged domestic violence cases" are voluntarily dropped
I’m so sick of people quoting the statistic that 70% of divorces are initiated by women, OK so what? Just because they initiated the divorce does not mean they were the sole cause of it. Can you please grow a few more brain cells before making a statistic the justification for your entire personality.

What is wife's 'pious' duty as per manusmriti.. Could we enforce that too? And "hundred misdeeds" to maintain family are pardoned by law?

Dave Foley was ordered to pay his ex-wife $17,700 a month in child support. That was five times what he actually earned. If he set foot in Canada, he would be arrested at the border. When he asked the judge how he’d feed his daughter from his second marriage, he says the court’s answer was simple: “They can rot in hell.” In 1997, Foley was starring on NBC’s NewsRadio and making about $1 million a year. That year, he separated from his first wife, Tabatha Southey. An Ontario judge set his payments at $17,700 a month, or $212,400 a year after taxes, based on his sitcom salary. Two years later, NBC canceled the show. His income dropped by nearly 80%. He went back to court to lower the payments. The judge said no. The court ruled he had made $1 million once, so he should keep paying like he still did. His ex-wife lived in a $2.5 million house on a park in Toronto. Foley rented a small loft in downtown LA. By 2011, he owed more than $500,000 in back payments. Ontario threatened to pull his passport and issued a warrant for his arrest if he came home. In the video below, Foley explains the math: “I’m paying about five times my income every month in child support, based on a show that hasn’t been on for 12 years.” He couldn’t work in Canada again until he landed a new sitcom in 2014 and had his paychecks garnished at the source. The case for the court: a parent shouldn’t get to slash support just because their career slows down. The case for Dave: locking a canceled actor into 1990s sitcom money under threat of prison is extortion. Should child support be tied to what you earn today, or the best year you ever had?

Judiciary is beyond repair. Judiciary is the biggest road block to Viksit Bharat- Sanjeev Sanyal I agree with both of the above statements
OpIndia has launched an investigation into judicial corruption at the highest level. More to follow over the coming days and weeks. Let’s fasten our seat belts, shall we?

What a pathetic joke the Indian legal system has become. The Supreme Court itself is an embarrassment. The Supreme Court doesn’t have the guts to take action against this woman, even though she allegedly provoked her own daughter into filing false cases. Read this entire thread and see how Justice Pardiwala is practically begging this woman. P.S:- If I were a judge, I would have delivered a verdict that would make sure this woman and her daughter never dared to set foot in a courtroom again.
Replying to @LawBeatInd
Justice Pardiwala then turns to the woman’s mother, questioning her approach and asking whether she wants what is best for her daughter. “Bahenji, aap kaun hain? Aap toh apni beti ka hit chahti hain ki nahi chahti hain? Aap kyun aisa karti hain?”

“Wife is always at the receiving end” - this doesn’t behove of Hon’be Justice Pardiwala to make such sweeping statements. This bias in society against men is breeding more and more litigation as women know very well only they can play the victim and matrimonial litigation is not about justice.
🚨Supreme Court | “Forget about this as a nightmare. We will dissolve the marriage. You proceed further in life.” The Supreme Court, while hearing a matrimonial dissolution case, urges a woman and her mother to put an end to prolonged litigation, with Justice JB Pardiwala telling the mother not to provoke her daughter. A Bench of Justices JB Pardiwala and K. Vinod Chandran says it deals with such matters every day and seeks to balance the equities, keeping the wife’s interests in mind. “We always look towards the interest of the wife because in most of the cases, the wife is always at the receiving end.”
