Tom Brady says a sports psychologist at Michigan told him to 'quit bitching'
“'Stop worrying about what the other quarterback's getting, stop worrying about what the coach is saying to you. Every time you get in there, you bring the juice. You bring the energy. You bring the enthusiasm. You treat practice like a game.'”
“I started to change my attitude and I didn't have a lot of confidence in myself. And when you don't have a lot of confidence in yourself, you blame other people.”
“And then all of a sudden when you gain confidence in yourself, you start pointing the finger at yourself. I would encourage every athlete to look in the mirror after every day of practice, of game, and say, 'What can I do better to help the team?'”

“To be successful at anything, you don’t have to be special. You just have to be what most people aren’t: consistent, determined and willing to work for it. No shortcuts.”

Seattle Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald - Creating Your Vision
- "I want people with a vision... of what they want to build. I don't want to know just what you do, I want to know where you want to take it."
- "Our vision for our players should be bigger than they ever imagined.
- "The mentality we had in Baltimore was we're going after those edges, anything that's going to make us better, we want to be out in front of everybody, that's a core principle of what we're trying to build in Seattle."
"Control what you can control... and thats work!"
Hope he gets that opportunity! #NotDoneYet

Denver @Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton on the first 3 steps of building a winning culture is leadership GOLD :
1️⃣ Master the mundane. The easiest place to gain an advantage is where no one is looking. Most organizations compete for the obvious wins while leaving thousands of unnoticed opportunities untouched. But culture is built in those margins. A few extra percentage points here. A little less slippage there. Over time, what appears insignificant in isolation becomes impossible to overcome in accumulation.
2️⃣ Hire people who see what others ignore. The greatest teammates and staff members have it ingrained in their brains that small things become big things. They don't need constant reminders because they naturally protect that standard. When everyone values the details, you can delegate with confidence knowing there will be little drift, little spillage, and very little lost in translation.
3️⃣ Run toward the challenge. Great cultures don't avoid hard things, they feed on them. Sustained excellence comes from learning to convert difficulty into energy because they know every challenge is another opportunity to separate themselves from the competition. Hard, tired, adversity, boring, long, difficult, they're all signals of progress and great cultures are addicted to progression.
The culture you build is nothing more than what your people are willing to care about when nobody has to care. 🐎
