Man in cream, "I feel like you would need to be pretty far removed to think that Rishi Sunak and this government have done well in the past five years, let alone the past 14 years, which has felt like a 14 year long episode of the thick of it"
"You can't run on the roads because there are so many pot holes. You can't run on NHS waiting times because they're terrible. You can't run on the economy"
"I have noticed recently that Rishi Sunak will tweet that he's done these things that we've lowered this, lowered that. He'll get community noted. Quite a bit"
"It's worrying when the Prime Minister is openly saying we're doing all these great things. But it's really obvious by the stats, by everything, that that's just not true, is it" #BBCQT

.@RishiSunak admits to lying - that’s how I read this. As so many said at the time, Rosebank can’t lower our energy bills or give us any energy security. It was (expensive) culture war BS (costing the UK £3billion in subsidies to a Norwegian company) bit.ly/47ia2Ck

A huge thank you to everyone who has already bought a copy of Manifesto, and welcome to those who will. Do let me know what you think of it below, or let someone else know….
Manifesto is part memoir and part blueprint for the future of the planet. It follows my adventures on the road, in business and football, and it’s a plan for getting to a Green Britain.
If your local bookshop doesn’t have it, you can get one here: bit.ly/3D86WnR

Kids don't need hours of tutoring - they need sport, arts, clubs, activities & to be part of a lively & diverse society again.
Govt misses *another* chance to support youth mental health - and instead extends school to teach for tests.
Learning is for life - not just exams.

Just a reminder that it was not public money. But nobody is questioning the £37,000,000,000 for failed track and trace, £12,000,000,000 dodgy PPE write offs, £232,000,000 given to Michelle Mone, of PUBLIC MONEY.
The Tories are defrauding the UK before our very eyes. 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Do you think The Sun possibly could have started this 'BBC presenter story' to get the 'Boris Johnson Whatsapp story' off the news and the papers? Could it be possible?

The fact that the Home Office has painted over another mural and has detained asylum-seeker children for up to 19 days has absolutely nothing to do with stopping the boats or breaking the trafficking model and *everything* to do with this govt just being a bunch of evil bastards.

Must be doing something right...my words about anti-foodbank MP & his wages being twisted by the Tories today into trying to label me an education 'snob''....what a joke...🙄
They can't think of anything else to have a go at....
HOWEVER, I'll let my record in education do the talking inc
helping 500,000 children with their maths during lockdown...giving bursaries for young people and schools with disadvantaged backgrounds like mine....helping Blunkett introduce the Numeracy Hour....governor of inner city school......education books for decades.....recognised STEM Ambassador....I could go on.
Always a believer in encouraging young people to achieve their best, in whichever way that comes around, to be strong and happy and confident.
Anything else being espoused is offensive, targeted, predictable Right Wing nonsense.
PS Tories....this attack won't work. It just makes us more determined.
PPS thanks for all your support...we'll beat them in the end ❤️❤️

#IllegalMigrationBill
@GreenJennyJones says @UKHouseofLords should not let this bill through - #RuleofLaw, Rwanda is not safe and it was not in the Tory manifesto, so there is no obligation

This is absolutely shocking. When did we lose our compassion & humanity? How did we ever allow these people anywhere near high office? I refuse to believe that this Government speaks for the majority in this country. We are so much better than this

Keep going on Carol. They need to be made accountable by the main stream media and also the opposition parties. The amount of corruption perpetrated by the Conservative government in the last 5 out strips anything I have known and its that common it almost expected

Andrew Marr is right, it’s almost as though the BBC News presenter story was manufactured to hide….
-Government have failed to deliver the WhatsApp messages as instructed
-The mortgage rate has hit a 5 year high
-There are 3 by-elections next week.
BBC presenter scandal is 'crowding out' other important stories including Nato and soaring mortgage rates, @AndrewMarr9 says

So ‘BBC presenter’ is trending as a hashtag just as Rupert Murdoch wants it to.
I think #BorisJohnsonphone should be.

That money was for the kick-start scheme, creating jobs for 18 to 24 year olds, and all of that cash went to those young people - not us. We were doing a good thing.
And who the hell are the Taxpayer's Alliance? Their funding is shrouded in secrecy and are a dodgy organisation imo.
Ecotricity, the organisation headed by Just Stop Oil’s backer Dale Vince, received £179,743 in government grants in 2021/22.
Elliot Keck, Taxpayers' Alliance: “It speaks to the fact that the Government is not sufficiently vigilant in the money it gives out.”

As predicted, some are using the NHS strikes to argue for scrapping the NHS.
As usual, most of them don't have clue what they are talking about.
So here is a summary of the four main types of healthcare systems in use around the world.

Saw several of these at the @Tate_StIves. Hepworth's pastels done to celebrate the new NHS have the purpose and concentration of medieval frescoes. So beautiful.
