Croatian soccer fans shouted Nazi slogans like "Crush, crush the Jews,” “Auschwitz, Auschwitz,” and “Rise, Adolf” before a match.
Their club was about to go up against the Ajax club, which started in a football field next to a Jewish neighborhood in Amsterdam.
That is the 'justification' for hurling abuse towards Jews before soccer games. And this is an ongoing problem, apparently. Past chants include things like "Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas."
Anything to be antisemitic, right? "Oh, I just really hate the other team" or "Oh, I just want Palestine to be free," and people think they have some kind of pass to act like this.
Well, they don't. It's antisemitism.

Mohamed Abdou, an Egyptian-born Canadian academic and former Columbia University visiting professor, urged students at California’s Claremont Colleges to emulate Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Al-Qassam Brigades, organize secretly, use deception, and wage war against America, which he referred to as the “Great Satan.”
The remarks were made during an October 7, 2026, event titled “Re-Igniting Student Organizing Against Settler-Colonial Amerika,” organized by a student-run group on the third anniversary of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel.
Abdou compared student organizing to Hamas’s clandestine preparations, telling attendees:
“Organizing requires secrecy. It requires deception. It requires being quiet, going underground.”
He then explicitly called for students to emulate Palestinian terrorist organizations:
“We need to become like Al-Qassam. We need to become like Hamas, like Islamic Jihad.”
Abdou also described Islam, Indigenous values, and the Black radical tradition as fundamentally opposed to American values. He questioned whether Arab, Muslim, and Palestinian communities should participate in American political institutions or confront the United States directly.
“Are they willing to wage war on behalf of justice? Against injustice, which is what America stands for. To deal with Great Satan. To deliver a blow and death to America.”

Colombia has withdrawn from the Hague Group, an international coalition formed to pursue action against Israel over Gaza.
Colombia, a founding member and co-chair, said the group was created to “isolate and attack Israel.”

Yehia Amin, an Arab man living in New York, stalked a group of kippah-wearing Jews through Times Square while shouting “Hamas should kill more of you,” “may Allah kill all the Jews” and “all Jews should die.”
He has now been sentenced to just 90 days in jail, which made him smile and flash a “victory sign” at his sentencing.
Judge Althea Drysdale confronted him, saying, “This is a serious matter. Why are you smiling?” Amin replied through an Arabic interpreter that he wanted to look good for photographs.
Amin followed a 23-year-old Israeli tourist and four friends for several minutes on October 18, 2023, just 11 days after the Hamas-led October 7 attack. When the group tried to escape, prosecutors said Amin ran up behind the Israeli and punched him in the back of the head. He originally faced seven charges but pleaded guilty in March to third-degree assault as a hate crime under a deal with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
Members of the New York Jewish Community Judicial Watch Group criticized the plea deal as too lenient, with founder Glenn Richter calling the 90-day sentence a “slap on the wrist.”

I’ve asked the prosecutor for a copy of the sentencing report, and was going to hold off on posting any additional info until I got it but fuck it.
Sentencing judge was Lori Thomas.
The guy who assaulted me had actually requested judge Michael Waby (because Waby is apparently even more lenient lmaoo) before he ended up getting Thomas. Not sure if he also requested Thomas.
Will share some details from the sentencing report if I’m ever allowed to see it.

And the final update to this saga:
I was just at his sentencing. The prosecution had asked for 15 months in prison because of the randomness and aggression in his assault on me and his extremely long history of violent crime (43 prior convictions).
The defense asked for no time because he is black and jail made him sad (yes really).
The judge decided on a “middle ground” sentence of 9 days in jail, of which he will serve 6 days.

WELL I was assaulted by a schizo homeless guy today in Toronto.
I was walking to the grocery store when he started stalking me. I tried to get away from him but it didn’t work. He grabbed me, pinned me against a fence, and then tried to break my hand to steal my phone. Three people passing by helped save me.
The police were quick and kind, but the officer I spoke with told me this guy had been arrested for attacking people repeatedly in the past month, and “fair warning, a judge will probably let him out by tomorrow morning.”
