On this note, I've always thought it a complete shame that Burning a physical attacker is a viable way of crippling them, but no such status effect will let you do the same for special attackers. Drained, Fear or Dazed are all good examples. Frostbite in Legends did this already

flatter is a sham of a move. it's a special version of swagger, but the point of swagger is that raising the opponent's attack will also increase their confusion damage. flatter just raises special attack for no reason!
