We successfully hosted the first-ever Chinese Immersion Day! Over 30 Sixth Form pupils from Dollar, George Heriot’s, and Merchiston joined us for a whole day packed with engaging workshops, cultural activities and fun-filled competitions@George_Heriots @dollaracademy @MerchiNews
The competitions included a speaking contest and group challenges testing on Chinese idiom, poetry and riddles. The winners of the speaking contest were Nyasha from Fettes, Shona and Cameron from GH’s. The Best Performer Award went to Lilian, also from GH’s.@Fettes_College

🇪🇸 a very interesting talk on the history of Spanish language delivered by our excellent Language Assistant Diego! We learnt a lot about the influence of other languages, how Spanish was shaped and even the origin of our very own letter Ñ [ˈeɲe]… with sweet Spanish treats!

Have a peaceful and healthy Dragon Boat Festival 端午安康-10th June, today! Well done to Heyson, Marcus, Austen and Jack, who delivered a brilliant speech this morning in chapel and we all learned about this important festival. They were rewarded with Mrs Jin’s home made Zongzi!
