I'm sorry WHAT? Motaz Azaiza, one of the most celebrated Gaza “journalists”, casually explains that during the war he would travel around in AMBULANCES because it made it easier for him to get around. Also proving that everyone in Gaza knows Israel DOESN'T target ambulances.
Motaz Azaiza was lauded worldwide for his Gaza journalism, won awards, and was honored across multiple countries. But in a recent Arabic interview, he revealed details about his life, Hamas, and Oct 7th that he would never tell a Western audience. "I used to support Hamas" 🧵

In Israel, you often cannot tell who is Jewish and who is Arab by looking. Lucy Aharish is the Arab-Israeli. Tzachi Halevy is the Jew. They are married. Jews came back from Baghdad, Sana’a, Fez, Warsaw, and Addis Ababa. Ethiopian Jews are Black. Plenty of Palestinians are fairer than plenty of Israelis. The faces do not sort into the two boxes the slogan needs. “White European colonizer” is a costume. They were not planting a flag in someone else’s country. They were a people coming home from places that never let them stop being the “other,” and they were often murdered for it. Two million Arab citizens of Israel vote, sit in the Knesset, and fill hospital wards as doctors and pharmacists. That is not tolerance. That is a country. The Jewish side said yes to a state beside an Arab state several times, starting in 1937. The other side has always said no to Jewish sovereignty in any part of the Land. Trying to make this about “race” was the Soviet rebrand in the 1970s. That lie is still doing the work today, especially on campus and increasingly on the Western left.

Watch and read this very important and revealing thread from @chalavyishmael on Motaz Azaiza aka Moped Pazuzu.

Truth is not a flexible abstraction. Truth is not malleable. It has no allegiance to human ideologies. Truth should be every person’s goal and desire.

Ideology is tolerable as a set of claims. It becomes pathological when it blocks correction.

This not only insulting but also historically inaccurate. The US foreign policy in the Middle East has never been subservient to Israel, just as our foreign policy has never been subservient to NATO, where the US is in charge of almost all its policies. In fact, every US president has made Israeli policy subservient to the interests of the US. Truman made the US the first country to recognize Israel in 1948, bucking opposition from the State Department and Pentagon. Then he caved to pressure from both and slapped an arms embargo on all sides to the war, which just meant that Israel couldn’t get weapons while the Arabs did. Ike continued the embargo, and then backed Nasser against Israel, France and the UK during the Suez Crisis in 1956. Nasser thanked Ike by kicking US advisors out of Egypt and replacing them with Soviets. JFK claimed to back Israel, but also continued the embargo at least in name. He arranged to have West Germany send its old tanks to Israel with the US backfilling the Bundeswehr with new models. LBJ was the first US president to end the embargo, supporting Israel during the Six Days War. But he pressured the Jewish State against annexing Judea, Samaria and Gaza. Nixon also supported Israel during the Yom Kippur War, but then pressured Israel to agree to an armistice when it was on the brink of victory. Ford pressured Israel into giving back the Sinai to Egypt, which it did under Carter. Reagan condemned Israel for bombing Saddam’s reactor in Baghdad and prevented it from finishing off Arafat in Beirut. Papa Bush thanked Israel for not retaliating against Saddam’s SCUDs in the First Gulf War by cutting off funds until it made concessions to Arafat. Clinton pressured Israel into Oslo, even while its citizens were getting killed in the Intifada, demanding massive concessions to the Palestinians that Arafat rejected anyway. Dubya pushed Sharon into giving away Gaza during the so-called War on Terror, Obama openly favored the Palestinians, Biden cut off munitions transfers during the Gaza War, and Trump pushed Israel into ending the war in Gaza before it could finish off Hamas. The entire talking point is classic Isolationism. It posits that any time America helps an ally, it is putting its own interests second. This has been proven wrong so many times, it’s a punchline. But do you know what isn’t funny? The ones funding the Isolationists are the same ones backing the Radical Left: China, Russia and the Muslim States. Just like how the Nazis and Soviets assisted the America First Committee and other Isolationists before the US entered World War II, our enemies are now funding the two groups that want to sideline American foreign policy because they know we are the indispensable nation, the only one that can stand up to tyrants on the left and right. Sure the message is different, to the Isolationists they say “America is being made subservient to foreigners” while to the Radical Left they say “American foreign policy is inherently evil.” But the goal is the same: sideline America, get us fighting amongst ourselves, so they can do great evil in the world.
JD Vance just said “we cannot let our Middle Eastern foreign policy be subservient to the state of Israel.” Our U.S. foreign policy has never been subservient to Israel’s foreign policy. He knows that. Why would he need to say that unless he’s trying to politically gain some points with Israel haters? We are the superpower of the world. A presidential candidate of the USA should have the experience and the confidence to stand with one of our greatest allies in the world without hesitation. Unafraid. We have never been, nor will we ever be, subservient to Israel. 🙌🏽🇺🇸🇮🇱
