Gamers today click "Install," wait a little while, and then hit the "Play Game" button. Technical skill required: zero. Gamers in the 1990s needed a PhD in computer science, mastery of hardware and software configuration, willpower, patience, BIOS knowledge, boot disks, base memory management skills, and insane amounts of trial and error - just to run a single game. Show this to anyone under 35 and they'll think you were a wizard... and maybe you were!

This is what France needs. The autists to go ultra instinct and stand up. This photo deserves a Pulitzer. The autism shield says “Not today, villains.” He’s channeling his inner Goku. Iconic photo.

In 2004, a German demoscene group released a game called .kkrieger. It was a full 3D first-person shooter with dynamic lighting, textures, sound effects, music, and monster AI. The entire executable was 96 kilobytes. Instead of storing images and audio files, they wrote C++ and Assembly that generated the 3D meshes, textures, and sound waves mathematically in RAM when the game booted. Today, a single website's "Accept Cookies" banner is 10x larger than that entire 3D game.

A native English speaker knows about 11,300 words at age 12 and 21,600 by age 60. Advanced (C1) learners sit at 9,700, still short of a typical native-speaking 12-year-old.

We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model. We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results. github.com/openai/math

Ferrari still has this mindset to this day. "It's a Ferrari and you should like it how we built it, slow fast or dead"
At 3:17 a.m., the hospital declared Daniel Carter dead. His wife, Evelyn, was sitting beside him when the monitor went silent. The doctors tried everything they could. Nothing worked. Eventually, the attending physician gently told Evelyn there was nothing more they could do. Daniel was taken away. Evelyn stayed in the hallway, unable to accept that the man she’d married twelve years earlier was gone.

water is transparent only within a very narrow band of the electromagnetic spectrum, so living organisms evolved sensitivity to that band, and that's what we now call "visible light".

Wow "The solution is a vortex, a spinning swirl of fluid, that spirals inward and gets increasingly elongated, like spaghetti. " Espero que no se lo hayan copiado 😌, pero es igualmente espectacular que se haya resuelto con uso de AI.
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

Someone built a full quantum atom simulator in C++ with GPU ray tracing - and it proves the model you learned in school is completely wrong. Electrons don't orbit. They exist as standing waves across 100,000 possible positions at once, rendered in real time using the Schrödinger equation. The probability clouds look nothing like the textbook diagram. 14 minutes. Bookmark & watch today. The actual physics is more beautiful than the lie they taught you.
