Cupertino rules because it’s an incredibly mainstream network tv show based entirely on the idea that everyone hates Silicon Valley and wants to see them lose.

Everyone who believes Musk's "I'm making flying cars" thing have to be the dumbest, most gullible assholes on the planet.

interesting how you had to completely make up a fictional scenario where Elon Musk did something for good
If Elon created a cancer vaccine, people would complain about the size of the needle.

One thing is certain... there is no amount Democrats can win by in November that wont result in a deluge of "It would have been bigger if it weren't for progressives" takes.

If Dems underperform the huge expectations, gonna be a lot of ink spilled saying it's the left's fault (specifically Hasan Piker.) If Dems overperform, gonna be lots of takes saying the win would've been even bigger if not for the left (also specifically Piker.)

The thing with this mindset on art (chasing 'perfection') is gross and antithetical to the very spirit of art. Not one of these directors would have the gall to claim their filmography is flawless. Movies aren't sports teams.
Directors with a flawless filmography.

So the 30 films a year was another mirage in the desert.
A telling development: per Bloomberg, Paramount now says it will “pay” $30 million per film if they fall short of their 30 film *distribution* pledge. Who will they pay? The crews they would have hired? The theater owners with empty seats? No. It will be some fund that a government official has to then distribute. Rent is due on the 1st of the month, not two years from now. And they’re no longer even pledging to *make* 30 films a year. Just to distribute that amount; as Marla points out, this would include re-releases. All of this is of course ambiguous and tbd but this is not good. Like most behavioral remedies, it will be next to impossible to meaningfully enforce, and even then, enforcement will be difficult and after the fact.

When we criticize oligarchy, what we're really criticizing is the ability of a 43-year-old failson, who did nothing to earn the $200 billion he is set to inherit, to unilaterally impose his will on the AGs of a dozen states including California and New York.
NEWS: NPR can confirm Paramount has struck a deal with Dem state AG group to acquire Warner First reported by Bloomberg Protections intended to insulate CNN from newsroom interference Pledges to release 30 films, run Warner Studios & Paramount Pictures separately (for now)

It’ll be pretty funny if Apple kills 9:16 video RIGHT as the entertainment industry has fully committed to convincing themselves that verticals are the future.

The week after 9/11, a guy started killing people by mailing anthrax around the US and we're still not 100% certain who did it. Anyways. Was a pretty stressful time.

"Hasan Piker is making it harder for Democrats to win in the general" scream the people dedicated to spending every waking hour making sure that Hasan Piker makes it harder for Democrats to win in the general.

The mainstream centrist and conservative Dems see shutting down any sort of leftist insurgency as crucial to keeping their withering grasp on power and money (and they're probably right about that.) So they will fight ten times harder against Piker than Kushner or Miller.
