Yes we are most definitely essential to patient care. We are at the start of a potentially exciting time for the #PharmacyTechnician profession BUT it’s a drop in the ocean to what we could do if given the right opportunities.
In our @CommonsHealth evidence session on the future of pharmacy yesterday, I asked @NicStk about how could we raise awareness of the vital role of pharmacy technicians.
Pharmacy technicians are essential to our healthcare system, but rarely get the recognition they deserve.
Just spent interesting morning listening to the recordings.

Absolutely Karen, I had a number of thoughts about this & particularly the point about paying a significant sum up front not being possible for those who would benefit most. A rethink needed to ensure patients can afford their prescribed medicines.

surely this could be solved with IT solutions … how hard could it be to flag those who pay & include info in bag?
