People are ordinary & It is the way you treat them that makes them special. If they do not value it & assume you’re “easy” bcs you have intentionally chosen to let them in, take away that access. From the inside, people become comfortable & are never aware that access is a privilege. They’ll accuse of you building a wall & “suddenly” becoming cold. But that’s who you’ve always been. They were just on the inside and what feels like distance to them now is actually your default setting with the rest of the world where they now belong.
