Amen. My husband is barely a boomer and I'm Gen X. We've worked more 70+ hour work weeks than I care to remember (our bodies keenly remind us though). We've counted change to buy groceries & pretended we weren't hungry so our kids had enough to eat at times. Screw anyone saying we're selfish for enjoying what we've worked our entire lives to get.
I’m feeling like I need to make a boomer defense website at this point. No, we aren’t the selfish generation. We are the most hardworking generation. We don’t want to sell our homes because we worked damn hard for them, and now we have grandchildren visiting with our children and we like there is room for them. AND it’s OUR HOME. Those that are wealthy (not as many as you all imagine) ARE helping their children with paying for college (no student loans) and helping with them buying a first house. Those not wealthy now depend on the SS and Medicare they paid into their entire lives. They are also babysitting grandchildren and loving your children as no one else on earth will. We are not selfish. We are living on the years of hard work. Maybe you’ll understand when you get there, but now this bullsh*t narrative on your parent’s generation has got to stop.

🚨THEY JUST HANDED JAMES O’KEEFE EMINEM’S BALLOT No ID. No questions that mattered. Just “Yup, that’s what it says” and “fill both sides.” O’Keefe walked into a Detroit polling place, gave the name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, the birthday, and they started processing the ballot of one of the most famous men in America like it was nothing. That was the flashback. Right now his team is back on the ground in Michigan catching the exact same election crimes on camera. The loopholes never closed. The same soft system is still wide open. And the same people who swore it was “the most secure election in history” are still running it. Credit to @JamesOKeefeIII and the O’Keefe Media Group for the receipts. Michigan patriots — eyes open. Amen. When is enough, enough? Pretty much all the stuff I own either helps prepare or preserve food, has been handed down through my family, or I've had for years. I hate shopping for anything other than plants or seeds!

...and every appliance; car, and hvac manufacturer is doing similar things. Highway robbery.
Ok, here’s my corporate greed call-out of the day. I was dispatched today for a no-cool call. The indoor unit was running, but the outdoor unit wasn’t. The system was a 10-year-old Bryant Evolution high-end variable-capacity inverter system. After running the factory diagnostics, I found Code 77, indicating the inverter board was detecting excessive compressor startup current. Following the manufacturer’s diagnostic procedure, I disconnected the compressor leads to determine whether the fault was in the compressor or the inverter board. The results confirmed the inverter board had failed. The system is only 8 months out of warranty. At that point, I started preparing myself to tell the customer the repair would probably be around $1,500–$1,900. I figured the board would cost somewhere in the $800–$1,000 range. After all, it’s just a printed circuit board. Before giving the estimate, I called Carrier Enterprise for pricing. $8,900. Not for the entire outdoor unit. Not for a complete system. Just the inverter board. That’s not a typo. $8,900. In my opinion, this is the definition of engineered obsolescence. There is no reasonable justification for a replacement circuit board on a 10-year-old residential HVAC system to cost nearly nine thousand dollars. At that price, you’re essentially forcing the homeowner to replace the entire system instead of repairing it. This is exactly why I’ll never sell Carrier equipment. They make decent equipment, but pricing replacement parts like this turns a repairable system into a disposable one. Homeowners deserve better than that. Carrier Carrier Enterprise or anyone that’s sells this shit, care to elaborate why this board is so expensive? 🎩 Patrick Henning

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇳🇴‼️🚨 STABILIZED FOOTAGE: I have stabilized the footage to better see the ball's trajectory. You can clearly see it changing the flight path suddenly and going down quickly. The ball touched the camera cable and fell onto an English team’s lap, allowing Bellingham’s goal against Norway. FIFA claims no contact was recorded: “Connected Ball heartbeat sensor has no signal”. Norway’s team has also reported this to the referee. Technically this goal is hence incorrect?

Where’s the outrage? Where is the 100k likes? If this were Argentina, we’d see a tweet hit 100k likes in less than an hour. Why is it suddenly so quiet everywhere?
For the benefit of those who haven’t seen the review of the ball hitting the camera cable before England’s equaliser on Fox Sports…

England scored a goal that shouldn't have stood because the ball hit the camera cable in the buildup and then they got bailed out by VAR cancelling Norway's goal for 2-1. Zero noise.

Ah, the good old welfare cheese. My parents refused to ever sign up, even though their was one time we really needed it. A family friend helped with the monthly distribution of these foods and brought us leftovers.

Elon Musk just lost the biggest success story on X. @FreddyLA7 deactivated his account. Freddy became a national icon almost overnight. He was visiting the US for the World Cup and sharing everything he discovered along the way. Basically, everyone in the country knew about it and was watching along. A lot of his trip was in the south, which is traditionally underrepresented in tourism media and showcased a lot of America that people missed. As his account grew, he received a ton of opportunities. Free private jets, cars, and more but declined most of them. He just wanted to watch soccer with his buddies and experience America, and what he got to see was the true American dream. But, leave it to random bozos on X to engagement farm and bully him off the platform. More and more posts were dedicated to hating on him and trying to get him 'cancelled.' Reasonably, he decided to deactivate his account. He never showed his face, and honestly the amount of hate for a dude that just happened to go viral was absurd. Instead of being X's greatest success story, it is a lesson in how toxic the internet can get. Honestly, it's sad.

😔 Heartbreaking news today… Even as riots and looting tear through our streets likely continuing into the night many desperate refugees received denial letters as well from their USRAP cases. Dreams of safety, freedom, and a future for their children shattered in an instant. Today was a truly dark and painful day in South Africa. Lord, have mercy on our people. 🙏
Today has been a heartbreaking day for many families in the refugee program. A number of applicants have received denial letters. I don't know the details of every case, so I won't speculate on the reasons. My heart goes out to every family that received devastating news today, especially while South Africa is experiencing unrest. Please keep them in your prayers. ❤️🙏 For those wondering, our family's case remains approved and we're still waiting for our travel tickets. We're incredibly grateful, but our hearts are with those facing heartbreaking news today.

I urge everyone to contact their Senator and Congressperson regarding the plight of the South African asylum seekers. It seems that the "peaceful" anti-white protests have already started to turn violent; time is running out for these people!
No military service? You will be required to provide proof/documentation. Why are we not told these things at the outset? And I have not even had my interview yet. At this rate the program will have ended by the time I get out of here. Provided I'm still alive by then.
